Amazing service! The lady who helped me made sure I would have enough food to feed everyone. She also triple checked my bag to... make sure everything was there. The food was amazing and there was lots of it. The price was very fair as well! If I could givemore than 5 stars I would! Read more

Fantastic carry out restaurant. Very simple/basic decor (if you choose to dine in). Currently the best Chinese in St. Paul.... Everything tastes scratch-made (which is hard to find). Good prices too! Read more

I've been going here for over 30 years. Excellent chicken wings and it's nice that the owner Isha remembers you

I ordered egg rolls and the special lo mein and they were intensely salty. Disappointed and still hungry. The restaurant smell... awful. Not sure if it?s because it?s an older building but I wouldn?t go there again. Read more

Funky little family-owned restaurant, only doing Take Out. Pretty much close to zero ambiance, but it has a homespun, Chinese... restaurant feel, comfortable like an old shoe. I think the front person is the owner, don't know for sure. She is efficient ,if a bit loud. Food, which is what really matters, is very good! I had chicken mushroom sub gum, which could have had morechicken and mushrooms, and pork fried rice with a perfect balance of pork and fried rice, both very good, satisfying, and NotOverly Salty! Prices seemed a tad high, but I am out of touch with that, so I could be wrong. None of my comments overshadowthe fact that the food was delicious and satisfying, and the lady in front was good at her job, and grateful for my business. It was not a long wait, despite a steady stream of takeouts. I tipped her, because it would be a serious loss to them, and theneighborhood to see them close. Go. Taste for yourself. See why they have so many long term customers, decades of loyal peopleeating their food. Then go to Lilydale, down by the river, & eat your delicious food, while watching the Mississippi River rollit's way through America's heartland, on the way to New Orleans. Read more

Tried Golden Chow Mein for the first time this week and I was amazed. This is easily the best Chinese food in St Paul that I've... had. Ma and Pa/Family restaurant with quality ingredients and simple yet absolutely delicious recipes. From the apps to the chowmein to the fried rice to the stir fry dishes, this is delicious and I can't wait to order again. Read more

A great St. Paul find along Seventh Street. Golden Chow Mein is old school Chinese restaurant with made to order food that is... simply delicious and flavorful. While the dining room is sparse the price is right. I will definitely be back! Read more
