This was the first time I had been there. We ordered the veggie /meat sampler with gluten free injera. Everything was delicious.... The only part I don't enjoy was one of the meat dishes had a lot of fat/grizzle I had to spit out. I will only order thevegetarian one next time. I also had the avacado smoothie. It was kind of bland, but OK ..tasted like diluted avacado with alittle sugar. I mostly ordered it to help coat my throat, since some of the food is spicy. Read more

We have ordered from here many times and have always been impressed. We consistently get the veggie sampler and it?s one of the... best in the area! We are able to stretch one sampler over multiple meals. Friends have tried other dishes with rave reviews aswell. The only mark against them is their take out process. I always place my order over the phone and arrive on time, but thefood usually takes 10-15 minutes after my arrival. It?s worth it, but worth noting if you?re going to check it out. Read more

I was amazed by this establishment! The food was out of this world good. Such an amazing harmony of flavors!! I ordered 3 dishes... which was WAY TOO much for 2 people, and so incredibly filling. The friendliness of the staff and the people who visit are incredible. I had never eaten Ethiopian, I don't speak Ethiopian, but... they made me feel very welcome regardless. The food is also amazing. Savory, flavorful. I highly recommend! Read more

Fun place with a cool atmosphere and great Ethiopian food, but our car said it was 104 degrees when we got back in.

Agelgel Ethiopian Restaurant is the best one in the US and Minnesota serving delicious Ethiopian and Eritrean foods. Their Tibes... ( fried beef) is the best. In addition, the staff are very welcoming and supportive. Customer service is up to the standard inthe restaurant. Zelalem, the owner of the restaurant, is always with the staff welcoming customers. He is humble, professionaland knowledgeable. You may ask him for his recommendations, and he knows the specials of the house based on your needs. Thanksfor your service, Zeli. Great flavors! Wish we had time to dine in, as to-go is a bit more difficult with injera, tibs and the like, but it was still so... delicious! Carryout food was ready just a little after the time they told me it would be ready for pick up, (no more than 5minutes, not a big deal)! Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and staff was friendly. Hopefully we'll have time to dine in soonfor the full experience. I would recommend! Read more
