We went to Mendenhall Inn for a wedding and stayed for brunch the next day. Carl, the bartender, makes the best Bloody Mary I... have ever had in my life. Carl uses his special recipe with vegetable infused vodka and makes it with love. Everyone should stopin and see Carl for the Bloody Mary. Read more
Excellent food; rude service. I was part of a party of 10-12 in town for a funeral and staying at the attached Inn. We ordered... drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Very expensive but we knew that going into it. The food was good and had some uniqueofferings. My only complaint is the staff acted like any mistake was coming directly out of their paycheck. My sister in lawordered a crab cakes and steak combo; the waiter brought a lobster and steak combo. She doesn’t like lobster, so she politelymentioned it to the waiter and his response was to take out his little book and show her where he wrote lobster and steak. Hewouldn’t take it back! She let it go, but we were all annoyed that he wouldn’t correct her order; all the notebook means ishe wrote it down wrong! Read more
The Mendenhall was the PERFECT place for our wedding reception! We have been coming here for years to dine at the restaurant... because the food has always been excellent and we have always had a wonderful experience! Planning our wedding was no different.The attention to detail and recommended vendors made organizing a breeze! We also loved the location. The ballroom wasabsolutely exquisite with the beautiful spiral staircase and glistening chandelier. We couldn't have asked for a more stunningvenue. We also loved that the hotel, ballroom, and restaurant / bar were all in the same place. This was a great benefit to haveas we had an after party at the bar and everyone was able to easily go back to their room. I am so glad that we decided to bookour wedding here and highly recommend it to everyone! They will truly go above and beyond for you - you will not regret it! Read more
Excellent mid priced hotel very close to Longwood Gardens . The room was clean with soft sheets and pillows and the breakfast... was surprisingly better than we expected! Would highly recommend if staying in the area. Read more
We stayed here on the 9th of October for a wedding, the place is absolutely beautiful, check In was kinda on the late side 3PM... we let them know we was part of the wedding party and the ceremony started at 5 pm still 3pm check in. The staff was great andthe reception room was beautiful, the wait staff should be awarded all kinds of metals and the food was top notch, not boringand tasteless like most wedding food. The only reason they not getting 5 stars is because I couldn't check in earlier then 3.but next time I will ask for early check in. Read more
My husband and I just recently had our wedding in Mendenhall Grand Ballroom on 9/18 and it was absolutely perfect and a dream... come true! Gianna & Dottie were both amazing to work with before the wedding day arrived. They answered all my emails & callsefficiently and always had an answer for me! We mainly worked with Gianna before the wedding and she was absolutely fantastic inresponding quickly and always having a second option if we were unable to do something. The day of the wedding Dotti alwaysshowed up at the right moment to drive me down to the venue so no one would see me or right before the ceremony to fluff mydress! She always appeared at the right time somehow! As for the hotel staff- they were absolutely amazing! We rented a banquetroom to get ready in, and all the staff jumped to help! We needed ice and someone offered to go grab it! Closer to the ceremonywe were working closely with Mario! He was the real MVP of the whole wedding! He made sure we had everything we needed andeverything was on time! He did an amazing job the entire night to make things go perfect. During cocktail hour I realized Iforgot the sparklers under the table in the banquet room- somehow he managed to get them without me noticing and when thephotographer asked for them he had them and a lighter ready to go! As for the bartenders- well they kept that party going! Theywere awesome! Billy was awesome and fun to be around when you were hanging by the bar! I love this place. The wait staff which includes the bartender, was super friendly and accommodating. The wine menu had a great... selection and the was excellent. The hotel was very nice, clean, newer accommodations, an outside lounge area with a gas firepit, also an inside lounge above the main lobby and again great staff. There was a full breakfast from 7-9am with everything youcould want for breakfast and I felt very safe. They followed covid protocol. Read more
We went to a wedding here last night. It was so nice! We really enjoyed our time there. We tried to follow a vegan diet, they... did give us a decent meal. However, I feel like for the small amount of people that got a vegan meal, it could have beenbetter, I ate all of it. The wedding that we went to was in the Grand Hall. The event room is absolutely amazing. We did feellike the bar being in the outside of the main room caused most people to hang out there rather than in the event room with theDJ. I think it might have been fun to have some small speakers outside of the event room so folks could hear the music and maybeentice them to go inside and dance. The room that we rented was fantastic!
