Reviews for Ojeda's Cafe in Menard, TX
Excellent service and great food. Clean bathrooms and family-friendly environment. We will be regulars.
Passed through on our way to Waco, it opened at 5:00 PM but wanted to call and confirm. The woman who answered let us know that... they were closed but if we wanted to come up to the window and order something she could accommodate. The bean and cheese tacoswere DELICIOUS (I?m a vegetarian) and my boyfriend said the steak quesadillas were great. We both agreed the chips and salsawere fresh and overall tasted great. Would highly recommend stopping by if you are passing through. Read more
The food here is delicious! The chips and salsa tastes homemade, and the enchiladas tastes like my grandma's cooking. I would... always come back when i pass through. Read more
Just passing through...very clean tables and floors. Fresh and tasty French fries. Waitress (Britney) did a great job...friendly... and the best customer service. Food was just like cooking homemade taco...rice was bland, needs more cumin and tomato sauce????. Gravy on enchiladas was delicious. Read more
We stopped in as we entered the town of Menard on our way to San Antonio. We seated ourselves and were promptly welcomed by our... young waitress. She was friendly and attentive. After our food came, she checked on us multiple times. Our meals were verytasty, including the delicious homemade french fries, which were steamy hot...unless you are quite hungry, one order is enoughfor two people. There were two waitresses and they were in constant motion serving their clientele...with a smile. Ojeda's isclearly a place where the locals come to eat and visit and catch up on the news. We enjoyed our visit and I recommend it. Read more
The food was good, but it took 45 mins for us to get our food. Customers came in after us and got their food way before we did.... The kitchen needs to go by orders not who walks in. As a guest to this area I was very displeased with the service. Read more
I will start with a few positives - 1. There was a parking space for our rig. 2.The place was clean and inviting. 3.The waitress... was efficient and nice. Now for the food. The only thing that had any flavor was the tea and the guacamole and that had toomany onions. My husband had the "Mexican" steak, with consisted of a very bland chicken fried steak covered in cold salsa, whichmade the unseasoned meat soggy. I had chicken and cheese enchiladas (I should have just eaten chips and salsa). The chicken wasin chunks and you could tell it was could tell it was boiled with without seasoning. The corn tortillas the meat was wrapped intasted as if it was bathed in cold oil to make them pliable and the enchilada sauce was definitely from a can. The cost of themeal far outweighed the quality, our final ticket was $28.00 and we left full plates of inedible food. This place should becalled Ojeda's Imitation Mexican food because there is nothing authentic about it. Save yourself time, money and tastebuds andfind another place to eat. Read more
