I wanted to love Tonica, but it was very much underwhelming. As expected, the service was great. The paella was actually kinda... sad when it arrived to the table; the meat was hard and tasted old. Overall, it was bland. Meanwhile, the croquettes andpimientos were simplistic, but delicious. The desserts were just okay. Overall, I hope to go back soon to give it anotherchance. Read more
This is a great new place in Memphis and lets hope they stay with us for long.\n1. Service: our server was very attentive,... efficient and nice - one of the best you can find in Memphis nowadays. Everything came right on time even though the restaurantwas quite full.\n2. Drinks: out of this world, really reminds me on summer drinks you get in Spain/Europe. Sangria was amazingand also other drinks were great tasting and quite large. They also have a nice wine selection.\n3. Tapas: we had a selection of6 different Tapas and all of them were excellent and tasty. I recommend getting as many as possible because all are good and youwill like them all.\n4. Main course (Paella all meat): was overall very good, nothing to complain, good flavor. Did not try theother option.\n5. Desserts: they had 2 type of home made cakes and they were incredible. Also, the espresso was outstanding, andthe espresso martini was also a nice addition to the desert menu\n6. Cleanliness - Super clean toilets and the whole place isclean and has a great vibe /ambience. (I have had it enough with dirty toilets in Memphis restaurants - these show the ownersimply does not care).\n7. Security - outside the door there was a security guy.
