Our first stop in Memphis was the oldest cafe in Memphis - The Arcade - for brunch. This cafe has a 50’s diner feel and has... Elvis’ booth marked with photos. The Elvis. Booth is available to sit in which is cool. Now onto what your here for food anddrinks! The arcade has a solid brunch drink menu that surely anyone can find what they are looking for; from spiked hotchocolate to spiked mimosas. We chose the spiked mimosas and they didn’t disappoint. It’s a traditional mimosa made withDeep Eddy’s Orange. Josh and I normally share meals but not today - we came hungry and looking forward to this meal. I orderedthe eggs redneck which includes slap yo mama good biscuits and gravy. Josh went with the pancakes because he needed a vehiclefor the syrup to make it to his mouth. It was an all around wonderful experience and I left with an adorable souvenir coffeemug! Read more

If you're looking for diner-type food in a historic setting this is a great choice. It's right around the corner from the Civil... Rights Museum so the location is great. Four vegetarians were able to order four different dishes which is always a plus in mybook. I think the Greek Salad was the winner but everyone enjoyed their meals. The make-your-own omelette was fun though I got abit carried away- don't go for the garlic add-on, too much even for garlic lovers. The waitress was kind enough to mention thebiscuit gravy was vegetarian and there was no issue making veggie modifications on one of the sandwich options. Read more

Needed a quick breakfast and this was amazing! The sweet potato pancakes are a must have. My bacon was cooked perfectly. Eggs... were a little on the runny side. I had their cold brew which was very good, not bitter at all. We didn’t have to wait to beseated, but they do get busier on occasions. One of the employees was on her phone while checking us out and trying to seatother customers which I found to be a bit rude. That would be my biggest complaint, but I won’t let it damper my wholeexperience. I would recommend this place for sure! Read more

Hailed as Elvis's favorite restaurant where he would eat his legendary peanut butter and banana sandwich, this diner is your... typical hole in the wall in historic Memphis. My companion ordered Elvis's sandwich and was unimpressed. I ordered the grilledcheese and weirdly, it had very little cheese and was mostly bacon and avocado. It was fine, but not what I expected. The frenchfries were decent and the salted caramel milkshake was absolutely delicious. I wouldn't necessarily go back for the food but itwas cool to sit in the booth where Elvis sat and have a little bit of fun harking back to the '60s. Read more

The food here is actually quite exceptional for diner food! Unique recipes and it seems the chef has a pride in the food they... turn out, and the waitresses were great too ???? But I have to admit, upon entering the diner I was a bit disappointed with theup-keep of the place. Such a historical land mark deserves a bit more TLC than what it is currently receiving. If Elvis werearound today and he might be inclined to find a new spot for his pb banana bacon sandwiches, somewhere that owns a featherduster, a good mop, and a cleaner bathroom Read more

Five stars isn’t enough for this place!!!! We loved it! Great staff and ambiance, and even better food! My hubby had bacon,... eggs, hash browns and biscuits and gravy, and he absolutely loved it! I had the same minus the b&g, and instead, had the frenchtoast!!! OMG…the BEST french toast EVER!!! Can’t wait to visit again so I can have some more! It was sweet, crispy and oh sodifferent than anything I’ve ever had! I mean everything was so delicious! Keep up the good work guys, can’t wait to getback to the area and visit again! Read more

This was the closest place open to me while visiting Memphis today, found it just with google, and couldn’t be happier. I did... not know it’s history or how cool it was when I walked through the door, but as someone who appreciates that kind of thing Iwas thrilled. I am on vacation so I started with a local Memphis beer and went with my servers’ suggestion on having theRainmaker; basically a Turkey club. I was a huge fan of both, especially the food. Everything on my plate seemed fresh, was madeto perfection, and the sauce on that sandwich is outstanding. Their menu was exciting as well, ranging from breakfast to pizzato, Elvis’ favorite, a peanut butter & banana sandwich. My server (wish I would have caught her name) was so polite, welcoming, and very attentive. The atmosphere was great and exactly what you want in a place like that. I loved the art, thehistory, and the nostalgia sitting at the counter as the trolley went by. I can not recommend this place enough and hope I’mback to Memphis soon just to try something else from their menu. Read more
