Not My type, but My Mother wanted to eat here, I paid reasonable prices, but I didn't partake....
One of the best kept secrets in Memphis. No big flashy signs, no TV advertising and only open for lunch. You might be sitting... with the suits from downtown or the blue collars off the utility truck. People who know good food come here for a great lunch.No paper plates or plastic sporks. Today chicken was the big choice ( two kinds) but there was also pork chops, meatloaf and thewide variety of vegetables. Lemon ice box pie was the perfect ending. I've been standing in line since 12p. It says they open at 12. It's now 12:31p and we're still standing outside. I knocked on... the door trying to get someone to come to the door and explain why they haven't opened and was ignored. Today's my parent's 51stwedding anniversary and I wanted to get them food from here. I won't come back again. Poor customer service and appreciation. Read more
If you are looking for a great southern ( Home Cooked Meal) then Stein's Is The Place. The staff was friendly and this home... town favorite is definitely a staple in the community! Stein, herself came out and greeted all the customers. I will definitelybe back and recommend Stein's to anyone visiting Memphis! 5 Stars all the way...I ordered the beef tips with rice, candied yans,navy beens, homemade cornbread and desert! Staff Very Nice, But Slow need more help. We stood in line for an hour with only about 15 people in front of us. Restaurant is ... Clean But A C dosen't Work well Hot Hot Hot, food is about a 7 good. Baked Chicken and meats , need to be cooked a littlelonger. But I would go there again for the Chitterlings.... Read more
