Sekisui has great sushi. There are cooked and uncooked rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. There is a bar you can sit at, booths, and... tables. The server was nice and she was quick with refills and appetizers. The decor is nice. They've put up several paintingsof Elvis after the renovation. Sekisui is the original sushi in midtown, and it's as good as ever. Read more
Had dinner to celebrate a friend?s birthday here. Ordered tempura udon and steak teriyaki for two. The noodle soup was terrible... - it was just like soy sauce with added water, carrots and napa cabbage. Not the right ingredients in the soup - perhaps onlythe noodle style was right, and the pot was fancy . The steak was tough, dry, and salty but the white rice was authentic. Just anote that the Nongshim Udon noodle bowl from Costco seems much more authentic than the one here? I myself have to eat theinstant udon to get back my taste. Didn?t care much for the sushi that seemed stale and small in portion. Lastly, the restaurantlooks outdated (not like the photos), stuffy inside, and could do with a remodel. +1 star for a friendly server. Read more
