Justin at SAGE was an awesome server and the host (sorry I didn't get your name!) were both amazing! For my 50th birthday... dinner, they made me feel welcomed and appreciated for coming. The food was SO tasty and I mean really good. Shout out to thebartender who made a virgin version of a drink for me as my birthday treat! This was my first time and it won't be my last. Read more

Im from out of town and I was downtown Memphis and asked a few people about a good restaurant and both people said Sage. I go... inside and I'm told that I could go to the bar because it was just me. The restaurant looks nice inside and played good music. It was definitely a good vibe. I sat at the bar for 20 minutes and someone finally came to take my order. (This was the onlynegative of this review) I ended up ordering the Soul Rolls that are basically egg rolls stuffed with Fried Chicken, Mac andCheese, and Turnip Greens. And it came with a sauce. This appetizer was very good. I then Ordered the Grilled Salmon and Ireplaced the zucchini and squash with Broccoli. This dish was very good as well. Overall I had a good experience aside from theBartender (Hailey) taking long to take my order. And she was very non chalant about taking my order. The Bartender's customerservice is the only reason that I didn't give this place 5 stars. I enjoyed Sage and would come back tho. Read more

I am giving Sage a 3 solely based on service! The food and drink were phenomenal! We were excited about dining here based on the... reviews. We were greeted by Naomi, and were told the wait would be approx 15 minutes. That was a reasonable time, and we weresat outside by choice. After about 5-7 minutes, we were greeted by our server Taylor who took our drink orders. The initialimpression was off to a fine start, it quickly took a turn for the worse. There were some large fans to circulate the air, thiswas a rainy day and the temperature was cooler than usual, the fan was blowing directly on us making it uncomfortable to say theleast. We asked Naomi if it could be adjusted, she was gracious enough to accommodate, as we were the only party in thesection. Taylor came back thru and stated very loudly that the temperature couldn't be adjusted, she then proceeded to turn upthe fan to its maximum, which was not understood. Naomi, then came by to ask if we were okay, in front of us, it seemed as ifshe was being chastised by Taylor. She was totally unprofessional; she went on to say how it can't be adjusted, she didn't knowwhy we kept asking or how many times she had to say it, but not to adjust the fan. Naomi did turn the fan away from us so atleast it was no longer blowing directly on us making our dining experience unbearable. On to the food...it was PHENOMENAL!, Wehad the beignets, soul waffle(greens, mac&cheese, chicken), shrimp & grits. The cocktails were delightful! Read more
