Reminded me of NOLA. Great vibes!! People of all ethnicities just out enjoying the good food, music and entertainment. Live... bands playing. I love that you had to have your ID scanned in before entering the strip and a security wand checked you. Felt assafe as I could with that. Memphis is home of the Blues so a lot of honoring of singers and the music through pictures, plaques,etc. Read more

Walking down Beale St. looking to kill some time on a Wednesday night, we happened upon this billiards hall and had a great time... playing pool for an hour ($10/hr). There was no pressure to buy drinks (the place was empty around 8:00pm), there was no covercharge and we had the place to ourselves. The IPA on tap was perhaps the worst I've ever had in my life and I don't recommend itbut a bottled beer might be a winner. The ambience was nice and the photos on the wall were a great touch. Tried to walk in Sunday night for karaoke when I was told it's 5 to enter. Not a big deal, but I'd just been asked for that from... like 3 homeless people. So I asked if I could see the bartender to ask about the cover and was told I could leave. Then thisguy's friend started chiming in and it felt more like extortion than a door charge. They both had drinks and cigarettes and justlooked like bar patrons. They refused to let me speak with an employee so I left and spent my 200 dollars elsewhere. The placeseemed cool and they had karaoke which is why I threw on an extra star but why post this guy at the door without even a shirtwith the business name on it? I don't know if the owners know how much business is getting turned away because of this guy'sfragile ego. Read more
Walked right in and got a table immediately. The bartender were super nice and gave me a good solid drink. The set up is you... rent the tables by the hour. They also service pizza which wasn't to bad. Read more
