The spot is eclectic and great place for conversation or working remote. I ordered the salmon plate..smokiness flavor on point... but had fishy aftertaste and bagel was near burnt. The vanilla latte had about 2 inches froth on top so purchased a home brewcup of coffee with steamed half..again the froth was super thick. Barista was annoyed with my request for light frothiness andbad attitude?ended up just getting a plain coffee ?spent about $30 bucks and not super satisfied. Made it here today and I was not disappointed. The coffee was grand and the food was delicious. We took a break from our... travels across the US. A chic, and hip coffee place to spend time. I took out my morning coffee and bagel. But next time I?m gonna chill here with my... laptop. They have plenty of seats both inside and outside. They have a cute hippie themed gift shop as well. Their menu looksgood. The coffee was great. Mocha is not good everywhere, but here they get it right. They took a little long time to toast abagel. However, the jalapeño cheddar bagel was fine. Overall, I can?t wait to go back. Google map says, that they are openuntil 8 pm, which is not true. They close at 3 pm. Read more
I was really hopeful that with some of the backlash that Otherlands had received over the last couple years that it might have... been better. I was unfortunately too optimistic. I got a cold brew and it was, fine I guess? Nothing bad but nothing greateither. Unfortunately, the sweet roll I got was so stale to the point of being inedible. Then I noticed that it was marked as3/23, and I visited on 3/28. Whether that meant it was made on 3/23 or it was supposed to be discarded 3/23 I'm not sure. All Iknow is that it wasnt good. With the rise in quality of different coffee shops in Memphis, I was really let down to see thatOtherlands was still just not a pleasant experience. Read more

Great spot! I love cortados. Unfortunately, it's hard to find a well-made one. But Otherlands here it right. We were on a... schedule, so we picked up croissants to go with our coffees. (Meh.) However, the cooked food that walked by looked tasty,definitely worth trying. We had our pup with us, so we sat in the backyard/deck area. Super relaxing. Read more
Every visit has been great. It's hard to beat. Excellent coffee, great menu of all sorts of good stuff. Very relaxing... environment indoor and outdoor seating. You can isolate and read, or be social and chat. Either way fits in well here. The retrofurnishings and aquariums really lock it in for me. A great reflection of the local, generous community. Check out the bulletinboards and or drop off a useful item in the donation bin. Buy a gift or souvenir in the mini-shop. There's more than just coffeebrewing here. Read more
