Reviews for Ono Poke in Memphis, TN
Fantastic poke place owned by an incredibly jubilant individual. The portion sizes are great, and the taste of the food choices... is on point. I highly recommend this location for the vibes and the owner?s happiness alone. Read more
The best poke I've had in Memphis or Nashville, hands down. The tuna was extremely fresh and seasoned well. Healthy portion of... protein for the price of the bowl. The bao bun was excellent, and at 2.99 a piece, you could make a meal out of 2-3 of thosealone. The selection of local craft beer was a nice added touch. I will certainly be back. Read more

The building is older and the space wasn't well refurbished when this place came about, so it looks a little run down and... greasy. That aside, the food is really quite good! I like my fish raw where possible and you have a pretty open build-your-owndish kind of place. The sauces are great, the rice was a little clumpy, but the fish is obviously sushi grade and delicious.Veggies are crunchy and fresh and the owner is very nice. Enjoy this little gem Read more
How do I add more stars!!! First time having poke and oh my goodness it was absolutely amazing. I loved the salmon and it had... such an absolutely immaculate flavor. The owner is so nice, welcoming, and great to talk to. The place itself had a verynostalgic atmosphere and was very clean! I included some pictures of my bowl after I'd already stirred it. So yummy!! My experience was okay. The ingredients seemed fresh. The man working there was nice enough, but did not seem to have much... training. He gave me the impression that the only meats were uncooked fish (seafood allergy here) so I ordered the vegetarianoption with tofu. Then after I got further along the line, I saw vats with pork and beef, which I would have preferred. Butperhaps that was just a misunderstanding, and the tofu wasn't bad. Generous serving size, which was a plus! And the guy waskind enough to allow me to try a sample of the sauce that was used before he added it to my dish. The sauce was a lemonyvariety of soy sauce and very good. The main concern I have is that when my friend ordered shrimp, he dropped a piece into thecontainer with the edamame beans, then just kind of casually scooped it out. Luckily my allergy is not super sensitive. Overallit was not a bad experience. Read more
The man who runs the place is the man who makes your food, so it seems like a one man show which ensures the best food. It seems... like he made the recipes for all the house bowls himself and I've never had one I didn't like, but I'm not a picky eater. Whenyou go, get the rose lemonade to drink from the drink cooler. It's so good! Read more
