Amazing food with grown man portions. Be patient cause they are making it from scratch. Nice and courteous service.

Very happy to find this spot not far from Beale Street. Nice friendly staff and wonderful soul food! The oxtails over rice were... amazing, our first time trying this dish. Catfish was crispy and good flavor. Fried okra was perfect, as was the macaroni andcheese. Portions large enough for us to take some home. Great experience! Read more

The food is good is pretty good. Had dinner delivered today 7/10, if had car would have taken side veggies back and ask for... money back its cost to much for tablespoon of food. The pictures on site are not the servings they send you. I believe thus isdone because they know you don't have a ride. And when they didn't have what I ordered it was replaced without asking me. Unsure how reviews are so high on this place. Their prices are unreasonably high but they do give large portions on meats. The... food is average at best. They?d do better to decrease meat portions to something someone can actually finish in a sitting andconcurrently lower the prices. It?s ridiculous to charge $26 for some mediocre fried catfish. Salmon my fiancé got was smalland was average as well for $15. Read more

I have been eating here for years. Warm welcoming staff and a bit of soul music. Wide variety of home style southern cooking.... Also have vegan, vegetarian options. Near the Civil Rights Museum and Blues Foundation, on the trolley line. Quick take-away. Read more

I visited this restaurant today and I was sadly disappointed. These google review stars are really misleading. I tried it... because it said 4.2 stars. It is not really good food or service. I understand it?s COVID time and restaurants are short staffedbut hospitality can always be a priority. I wasn?t greeted and when I walked up I had to ask whether or not I was in right placeto order. The young man said yes but just continued to work on orders and never greeted or said give me X amount of minutes. Soafter like 4 min, I asked I?m sorry was I suppose to order online/ he said no and to give him a minute. So I had to initiatecustomer service: he wasn?t rude but he was also not pleasant and seem a little irritated that I asked. Me and my niece orderedour foods. Which was expensive, her 5 wing combo with wings and fries were 19.99 but I?m thinking, it?s okay, I can pay for goodfood even-though my first interaction was not pleasant. We waited 30 or so minutes and the food was just not good! I was sodisappointed/ I ordered wings with black eye peas and cabbage. I already mentioned my niece order: she tried a fry first and waslike, ?this is not good?. I tried and they just taste like grease. So I tried a piece of my Chicken. It completely tasted like achicken wing thrown in grease, no seasoning, no salt, pepper/ the only flavor was grease. The black eye peas were okay, and thecabbage had a hint of burnt taste to them. The only thing that was good was the cornbread rolls! My niece has lemon pepperwings, she said they were just okay and the fries were nasty.. So l, I am forgiving of not the best customer service but thefood is was just not good at all. Like I have never been to a soul food restaurant and the chicken is not good. I tasted a pieceof my hive chicken because surely lemon pepper has seasoning, it was better but it wasn?t great. So, we ended up throwing ourfood away. Also, the tables in the dining room were nasty and sticky, We tried to different tabl Read more

Stopped in Memphis for the day on a long road trip and this food was exactly what I needed. I had the catfish sandwich with... cornbread and a sweet tea and it was the best soul food I?ve ever had. The guy who served us was so nice we talked the wholetime and made the experience even better. Totally recommend for anyone in the area and I will be coming back! Read more

Cute and quaint restuarant. The green beans weren't great...at all. They tasted like they were from a can and someone simply... added salt. However, the rosemary baked chicken was very good. It was seasoned well, flavorful and tender. Sadly, therestuarant did not have forks for us to use, so my friend was only to use the flimsy plastic spoon to cut her pork chops. Theonly great thing about the experience were the sweet potato muffins which were fantastic. Needless to say, we won't be rushingback there. Read more
