Amazing sould food that's fairly priced. Had the turkey necks, chicken and dressing, and yams. Can't wait to try it all.
So I got the dressing & beans from the grocery store..the Mac n cheese was okay, not enough cheese on the mac, but it was the... first thing I ate on my plate. The turkey necks would've been better if it was smoked. The cabbage & greens and sweet potato piewas good. The meal was $12 but somehow came to $17 in all I guess I paid $5 for a slice of pie, but overall it was good. It wasa lot of food to choice from. Read more
Lousy customer service. As soon as you walk in the man behind the food counter hollers at you asking you what you gonna have... before you can even get a chance to see your choices. Then one of the ladies behind the counter had a funky attitude like wewere asking for free food. That was unprofessional. Nobody wants their food fixed by someone with an attitude. I?ve been coming here for a while and the food is always great! However today ???? my plate got mixed up with another lady?s... plate ! I got home and opened up to food that I didn?t ask for, only really wanted was the dressing glad it was that on theplate !! The lady that wrapped the plates assured me and the girl had the right plates and we both kept looking at each otherlike we wanted to switch it out and we should have, the lady did not know whose plate she had and did not ask beforehand. Food was not prepared with love. Not enough cheese in the macaroni and cheese, stems in the greens are not tender, don?t mind... the extra stems but must be tender, cornbread is not delicious it?s dry and hard, sweet potato cook too long look and taste likemush. Simple honest good food. The meatloaf was really good and had a unique flavor, too much topping for my taste but easily removed.... The green beans were awesome with a hint of spice, really unique and also really good. The dressing had a good flavor too butwas a bit dry, the gravy on top was good but I would?ve liked quite a bit more to help with the dryness of the dish. Definitelyworth another try and if I get the nerve up I?ll try some of the soul food dishes like the turkey necks; they were selling likehot cakes! Read more
First time trying there food. It was real good. I had the greens remind me of how my mother use to cook it and I had the... hamburger meat loaf and rice and a side of yams. The food was delicious. Read more
