I was so excited to visit this place. I live in Byhalia so it’s hard for me to get out this way. My daughter finally made... reservations for us last Saturday. The place was not packed at all but I could tell from the start what the experience would belike. I was not enthused with the host at all. Nothing about him said courteous or happy you came. Once we were seated ourwaitress did come promptly but everything was pretty down hill after that. Don’t get me wrong our waitress was OK. I thinkthey were catering to the event that was happening at in the library parking lot so the kitchen was extremely behind. It took usmaybe an hour to get our food. The waitress forgot our second round of drink orders but brought them promptly once reminded. They were out of the crab fingers. Our egg rolls were really good. The entrees were just OK. Nothing to write home about. NOWback to the host. People were coming up to the door & the host was no where to be found. When he did come to the door it tookhim a while to address & assist the people waiting. There were two guys who came around 5:45. I watched because I wanted to seehow long it would take for them to be acknowledged. Finally around 6pm the host asked if they’d been helped. They said“no”. He asked if the had a reservation and one of them said they just wanted to place an order. The host quickly told themthey weren’t taking any more orders and they’d also shut off online ordering & that the kitchen was behind. The guy saidthey would wait. The host proceeds to say “ I know y’all don’t want to wait 2 hours on no food”…and dismissed thegentleman. Me & My daughter were like WOW! Sad to say I won’t be returning. Customer service is everything & your host ispretty much the face of your establishment. This was a pretty disappointing visit for a place I held such high expectations for. Read more

The Cajun Egg Rolls were delicious. I had the seafood pasta. The seafood was perfectly cooked. My partner had the ribs with the... crab mac and cheese. The ribs were tender and juicy. No knife needed. They fell off the bone. We spilt a side of greens whichwere great. For dessert, we split the beignets. Perfect. We had a delightful conversation with the owners who were gracious. Thanks ladies. Read more

My fish, cornbread and greens had me dancing in my seat. Kisses ???? to the chef! The Mac and cheese was delicious and rich in... flavor. I had to tell my daughter that Mac and cheese is for grown folks. ???????? My daughter said the lemonade tasted likeheaven and compared it to Starbucks. ???? The chicken tenders were good. Service was fast and waitress was extremely nice. Sherecommended the fish. ???????? I went today around 1PM and didn’t have to wait and I didn’t have a reservation. I will beback again. Also, you don’t need any hot sauce for the fish and greens. ???????????????? Read more

Hubby took me on a brunch date. This was our first time dining at Mahogany. We've heard great things about it and decided to... give them a go. Overall, we had a great experience. Our Server, Alexis, was great and the food was awesome. Mimosas are animportant part of my brunch experience and I tend to weigh them heavily. Their Mimosas were a bit underwhelming (and verysweet), especially for $6, hence the 4 stars. We would definitely come back. I'd just try a different cocktail next time. Read more

I found this restaurant on TikTok. I drove 3.5 hrs to get there so I really wanted to like it. We (my husband and I) were there... when the restaurant opened at 11am and received our food about 12pm. They were out of what I originally ordered, oxtails, so Iopted for lamb chops. The lamb chops were small and “okay”. The cabbages were good but spicy, which I like. The mac andcheese was good. The gumbo was not what I’m accustomed to since I grew up about an hr and a half from New Orleans. It was notserved with rice (but with something that looked like a lump of grits or mashed potatoes in the middle) and the roux was lessthan delightful. Sadly, the food looked better than the taste (except the gumbo- it didn’t look good at all). The restaurantautomatically adds gratuity, even with only two people, so they added over $16 to our bill for a total of over $118. Overall therestaurant & food was just okay. We probably won’t be going back when we return to Memphis next month. Be your own judge, however. Read more
