I?m being generous with this ranking. I will say the line was moving and they have a following and my sibling believes it?s the... best in the city. She loves the meatloaf. To me the pork chop was tender and seasoned but everything else was mediocre for mytaste. Mac n cheese was basic. The staff was very friendly and engaged. They treated us very well. The food lacked for me and mylady. No light was working over the food so you really couldn?t see what you were ordering and they had a nice selection ofdesserts. Me and my cousin came to see Graceland and the night before I had googled soul food. This place is amazing!! I ordered yams, mac... n cheese and fried chicken wings. My wife and I were visiting from Spokane Washington, and stopped by to have lunch. And it was so good. Just like my mother's... cooking. I had the smothered pork chop, mac & cheese, and collard greens. And my wife had the baked chicken, mac & cheese, andgreen beans. Everything was perfectly cooked and awesome! Read more

This place is legit! Flavor town! We loved every bite we had: gravy-smothered pork chop, baked chicken, candied yams, green... beans, mash potatoes and mac & cheese. Sorry no pictures because we basically inhaled everything we got quickly. Will be back! Read more

Since, I love to cook.I'm a huge fan of southern style cooking. I would've gave them ???????????????????? but cause of the lady... at checkout register, nasty deposition an the corn muffins was slightly too crunchy, I gave them ????????????????, fix thoseitems and you will get ????????????????????. The barbecue chicken was delicious, meat falling off the bone. Seasoned toperfection. The greens was great too and the candied yams was great too. Disappointed in its business hrs. And has no air-conditioning. The restaurant needs remodeling or move to a bigger well... air-conditioning and heated building and raise the prices and treat people with respect regardless of how they get treated. Needto cut out the I'll drama that goes on between workers. They need a better attitude towards all customers with extremepositively impact. Read more

This food is so good!! It tastes just like what your grandma would cook at home. Everything is fresh and seasoned well. The... chicken wasn?t cooked too hard and the peach cobbler was so tasty. The staff was pleasant and the restaurant was very clean. Ihighly recommend stopping by this place when visiting Memphis! Read more
