Our waitress was great but the food just wasn't good. The gumbo was the chunkiest gumbo I'd ever had and I couldn't eat it. The... roux wasn't made or warmed properly. It had a tomato base, which I didn't mind but it just wasn't good. My friend had themushrooms and a po' boy sandwich. My friend was not a fan either. I feel bad leaving these types of reviews but I do hope thisis taken as constructive criticism. I know the restaurants are struggling these days, so I'm mindful of that. Read more
I ordered the jumbo Caesar salad with grilled salmon. $20 for a salad and the salmon is pretty much non existent. I'm furious!... When I say I will NEVER order from Half Shell again, I mean it. This was my first and last time time ordering from this place.Consumers are already getting ripped off with gas and grocery prices and now the restaurants have hopped on board. Absolutelyridiculous! The grilled country oysters were some of the best I have ever had. All the food was good and their was plenty of it. A little... pricey than some other places. Would have gave them 5 stars had they still had the crab legs. Read more
Worst experience EVER. The woman manager at this restaurant is the rudest! WORST customer service and major attitude. I ordered... 5 plates of food, I disliked one item that was brought out last after trying a bite. I asked for the item to be sent backbecause it was literally tasting like ragu sauce was used in a specialty dish and tasted very generic (I ordered the blackenedchicken pasta) the waitress told me the manger would have to approve and probably wouldn?t (uncalled for in the restaurantindustry) the waitress came back and told me the manager said No, but instead offered me a box from the manager to Take the foodhome. Extremely disrespectful. I paid for so many dishes that I enjoyed and honestly didn?t care for the last and took thesmallest bite so as to not come off like I was trying to eat a ton and send it back. She never came out to talk to me, justdeclined. Honestly, it was ALL sub par food, fishy rotten tasting oysters. Worst food and service EVER. Went for brunch with my daughter. Crab cake benedict was okay, but I ordered the Oysters Bienville for her because she loves... oysters and they were nothing like described. Ordered her the kid?s fried shrimp to make up for it and it was 3 shrimp and like6 fries for $7.50. Nothing was worth what I paid for it, won?t be returning. At least the staff was friendly. Beware of placing take out orders!! I called in a To-Go order. First off, they didn?t get my order right then I found out they... don?t check who they give the order to. They sold my order and told me I could place another order. So I drove 15 minutes toget it and had to wait another 10-15 minutes to pick up a new order?! I should?ve just said no. A mistake I won?t make again. Anyways, I went in to pick my order up and stood there waiting on someone to acknowledge me, even though the workers handlingthe orders were right in front of me. Finally, someone acknowledged me and I received my order. To be straight up, a discounteven if a small one should?ve been offered. I paid gratuity for their screw up. Read more
