Not my first time coming here but first time leaving a comment. The fried chicken is awesome!!! Comes with two sides that you... will not disappointed by either. Sundays are their busy days so be prepared to wait in line if you come after church let's outbut it is worth the wait. I won't give them less than 5 stars simply because it is HOT inside the establishment, which shouldbe understandable because of all the heat being drawn from the fresh cooking that is occurring. Staff is polite and not rude. Only poor experience I had is when I ordered my fried wings in person, which they cook when you ordered, with a side of mashedpotatoes and they did not put my mashed potatoes to the side and gave it to customers that ordered after me and they were soldout by the time my food was ready...again. still not worthy of my giving less than a 5 star rating but just know this couldhappen to you so plan wisely Read more

My granddaughter had eaten here before and brought me a 4-vegetable plate. I had squash, black-eye peas, greens and dressing.... Although you receive good portion sizes, of the 4, I only enjoyed the black-eye peas and squash! The dressing was dry with nogravy and too much sage and the greens were mostly stems! Read more
Today I had the AMAZING EXPERIENCE of dining at Gracie's Soul Food Kitchen. The turkey wings with dressing and gravy were soooo... delicious!! The cabbage and green beans were very tender and tasty. The baked roll was indescribably delicious. Lisa, the servermade me feel welcome the moment I walked into the restaurant. The service was so inviting and made me feel like family... and toTOP IT OFF, I met Ms. Gracie herself. She stepped out into the dining area for a cameo visit. She is so genuinely nice. By far the BEST home cooking anywhere in the South. (I just thought I was a good cook). Huge pork chops in gravy. Friday's fried... catfish - you have got to try it. This was my first time trying this place,we got baked chicken,yams and greens on one plate and chicken & dressing,Mac and cheese... and spaghetti on the other. The veggies and dressing was awesome seasoned very well but baby that baked chicken and cornbreadwas a different story. The chicken was so DRY you need a gallon of water to try and wash it down and the corn bread was a littlebrick. Don?t know if it was because I went around 4:00 and it had been on the steam table all day or what but I?m willing to tryagain with more veggies and a different protein next time.Oh and the prices on their website menu is NOT CORRECT.
