Indian- Punjabi/ North Indian cuisine restaurant in downtown Memphis(Madison Avenue). The Chai was a bit less boiled to my taste... but good. The Dal Makhni and Paneer Masala were good curries. The butter Tandoori rotis were really good too. So overall 4 starsto the food taste and rate wise. Deducting a star for the dim ambiance and less quantity of the curries. Read more

Food is great as always, but man, the service has gone downhill badly. I was excited to bring my husband since I?m from Memphis... and this was always one of my ?go to? restaurants close to home. We were provided one rice bowl with two orders of the chickencoconut korma. When we had finished the rice we sat for 30 minutes while our coconut korma sauce got cold, waiting on to-goboxes and more rice and naan. The lady passed by us several times not even asking us if we needed anything. Finally I staredher down to get her attention because she didn?t tell us her name. She brought the check without asking us if we neededanything, and when I finally asked for food she looked inconvenienced. I hate she ruined the experience. It was only about 4tables of people including us. Half the time she was standing at the front register doing nothing. One to-go box for two peopleafter we asked for to-go boxes-plural. Like everything added up to be annoying. Read more

The biryani is NOT biryani. It's rice with mildly spiced (flavor, not heat) paste and food coloring. Low quality taste and... extremely stingy with the protein in meat dishes for the price. I may be biased since I've recently moved to Memphis from a top10 US city with a thriving international food scene and large Indian population; but even with the vastly higher cost of livingin that city, better quality Indian food was cheaper. Sad this was my first Indian food experience in Memphis. I will neverintentionally eat from here again. At least 2 stars because the paneer dishes were on point, and when you ask for maximum spicelevel, they give it to you! PS All the South Asians have given this place poor reviews, while everyone else calls it'authentic' ???? Read more

I ordered chicken biriyani through Uber eats. It came in a container, usually kept to serve a curry based dish. However, the... portion size wise it was good. I ate two times. I?m an indian. I was born and raised in india, so I have a very high standardand good understanding of biriyani ( including regional variations). This dish in the name of biriyani is no way can be regardedas ?biriyani?. Period! If you call it a chicken- curried rice, it?s okay. Read more

Amazing authentic Indian food. We tried the vegetable samosas, paneer pakora, butter chicken and tandoori shrimp masala. All... the food was perfect. Ordered the butter chicken medium, and it was medium. I recommend you give this place a try especially ifyou like Indian food and if you don't, still give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
