Name one other... restaurant besides Flames Mediterranean & Grill in any city?top 10, bottom 10, or anything in between?that still offers the samemenu prices and the same portion sizes since before Covid." I lived in 3 cities in 3 states during the Pandemic...I can nameseveral. Let me name one right now: Al-Sham Restaurant in Willow Grove, PA in the suburbs of Philadelphia where the cost ofliving is levels above Memphis...their hummus is $3 less than yours, just a simple example from several cheaper menu items. Yourresponse to my review in the form of a 'challenge' was not only incorrect, but highly unprofessional...and lost a customer as aresult. Sad, because the food was still good and would've still continued patronizing your establishment. Original review: Mustbe a Memphis thing where all global/ethnic food is double the cost, half the portions, and none of the quality as the equivalenttype of restaurant in a top 10 US city. My food was ready upon my arrival, yet they made me wait, only to finally end upshocked that it was a customer pick up (after realizing I didnt work for Uber). Imagine had I ordered from Uber Eats, my driverwould've waited 30 min on top of spending another 30 min delivering it! Was the South Asian girl someone complained aboutearlier. They never follow special requests on Grub Hub. I?m staying at a hotel and every time I order, I request utensils and not once... have they sent. I have requested no rice, yet receive rice. And the gyro meat is skimpy? tastes good but skimpy. Falafel wasgood. Read more

This actually was my first time coming to flames Mediterranean. It's on highland in the university of Memphis area. The... restaurants here are not chain restaurants but great food establishments with a huge variety of foods from different countries.From Asian, Greek, Mediterranean, vegan and a few pizza shops and wings plus much more. I got the lamb Toshka and it was sogood. They have a big menu and a lot of items to choose from like cold appetizers, hot appetizers, soups and salads, burgers andwraps like lamb and beef burger gyro Burger pita chicken burger lamb and beef shawarma Philly cheese steak along with platterslike chicken kabobs beef kabobs grilled ground lamb and beef grilled salmon grilled lamb chops and plus much more. Thisrestaurant was a surprise it's not that big but it puts out a lot of good food. And if you want some quick they have wings andtenders with some great desserts like baklava and namoura cake. I wouldn?t waste your time. I?m more than qualified to critique this place and was treated horribly. Will never return.... Encourage others not to even bother trying. Missing food for my pick up order, and with a long line they put my fix ticket in atthe end of everyone. I sat there with half my food cold waiting for 1 item. This place has no idea how to handle customers ormistakes. They also don?t honor their hours, while waiting for my food which was forgotten, they decided to close. It alsoseems that the food they forgot to make and I had to wait on, they gave me an old cut of the gyro meat, rather than a fresh cut,so the food I waited on was spiteful (it seems) and the food I did receive initially was cold. I?ve both dined in and ordered through DoorDash at this establishment?.just about everyday with no regrets. i?m a pretty hard... food critic, but the food here is always fulfilling, seasoned to perfection, and fresh. personally, i feel like the portions youget is worth the price. never had an issue with quality of taste or the food itself. only issue I?ve ever had with this place iswhen I got the incorrect order, but I ate it anyways and the food was so good that it actually became one of my favorite dishesto order. only thing i wish that would change is that they create an option on DoorDash for you to order an extra side of friesand extra taziki sauce. Other than that, I highly recommend this place if you want some delicious Mediterranean food for adecent price. It really doesn?t bother me if the workers hardly speak English or speak in their native language because theirfood speaks volumes for itself. literally waiting on them to open now as I write this so i can order from them????????
