I've been coming to Memphis for work or leisure for 20 years and haven't made it into Cozy Corner until today. I'm more than a... little disappointed that I never made the time before now. The Cornish hen was delicious. The white meat was just as tender andjuicy as the dark and the smoke flavor was perfect. Hot BBQ sauce was the perfect compliment to the meat. Spicy, but notoverpowering. Slaw was an excellent vinegar based version. A little hint of sweet but not as much as many of its creamy cousins.Potato salad was solid. My wife had the beef sandwich, fries, and BBQ spaghetti. The sandwich was excellent. Meat was perfectlycooked, excellent smoke flavor, and she also opted for the hot BBQ sauce and was quite happy with the outcome. Fries were greathouse-made fries and the BBQ spaghetti was novel and interesting, but probably wouldn't warrant a second order from us. Overall,an excellent experience. We grabbed food to go and were in and out in 10 minutes, even with a line ahead of us. We willdefinitely be back every time we're here. Read more
Wow! We were driving through Memphis and wanted to stop for some famous Memphis BBQ and we sure did pick the right place! We... had ribs, half chicken, coleslaw, potato salad, beans, fries and peach cobbler. Everything was delicious! Loved the rub onthe ribs and the BBQ sauce was perfect. I?m buying a few bottles to take home. We stopped @ 4pm and they were busy with diningin and to go customers the whole time we were here. There is a large, clean and cool dining area which we enjoyed on a hot day. Everyone was so nice and checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. I would highly recommend Cozy Corner! Definitely a must have. Food was packed with flavor and moist. You could smell the seasonings before you even tasted it. Highly... recommend the spicy sauce if you can handle it, great kick! Read more
Food was outstanding. Their organizational skills as far as calling peoples names to come get their food, needs to be rethought.... Our food sat behind the counter for who knows how long. It was still warm, but still. The nice lady behind the counter offeredto remake it, but we were so hungry, we couldn't wait any longer and ended up eating it. We went to Memphis just to eat BBQ and Cozy?s was our first stop. The ribs are not what I would call fall off the bone. However,... they were delicious. We purchased a small mild rib plate with potato salad and beans. The potato salad was some of the best I?veever had. We also purchased a bologna sandwich with cole slaw on it. Yum. We came here because we saw this place on TV and had to try it. Well, it didn't fail us!! The food was AMAZING! The traffic here... is non stop, which was nice to see. We tried the rib tips, Cornish hen, bbq beans, corn and can't forget the peach cobbler andsweet tea ????. The cobbler was sweet and addictive. You didn't want to stop eating it. My husband couldn't stop eating the ribtips. Don't let me forget to mention how friendly and helpful all the employees were. So glad we stopped in. Read more
In town visiting and this place was recommended by a local. Absolutely fantastic. The slab for 2 (pork ribs) was more than... enough food, and the sauce and rub were awesome. Sides were great too, but the main highlight is the meat. If I return toMemphis I?ll definitely stop in again :) Read more
