Our waiter was amazing. Nice, attentive, helpful, and friendly. Our food was..disgusting. The cornbread was a disgrace. They... remade my pasta twice & it was still so hard I couldn?t push my fork through it. I have an allergy & couldn?t have the standardsides with my steak so they gave me potatoes. Just basic potatoes. Like, you might get at a Cracker Barrel or something (this isan assumption since I?ve never been to Cracker Barrel). I don?t understand how potatoes are a replacement for the three separatethings that would have come with the meal. The only thing saltier than the potatoes was the steak. Literally inedible. We sentalmost all of our food back. Do not eat here if you have dietary restrictions or taste buds. Drinks were great though. New York style and quality in downtown Memphis! We visited Catherine and Mary when it first opened three years ago and we were... disappointed with the food and the service because we had very high expectations. We returned last night and found amazing foodand service. The management and food preparation have been improved to an unbelievable level. Now this as a well oiled machineto turn out great food with great service as you will find anywhere. We had two sparkling wines and six entrees, everything wasterrific including the service by Josh. We really enjoyed our visit to Cathrine & Mary's. $20 for 2 scallops seems pricey but they were amazing and I'd pay it again!... They also have incredibly creative and delicious cocktails. I enjoyed the Rye By Night which used a sweet potato rye. Read more
We had a lovely early dinner on a very busy Saturday night. The service was top notch. Perfectly attentive without imposing on... our anniversary celebration. The space feels quite cozy for being such a large industrially designed space. And the food...Chefs kiss! Everything was perfectly seasoned and balanced.
