Reviews for Belly Acres (Overton Square) in Memphis, TN
Burgers were excellent, I had the brioche bun and my wife had the gluten free bun and they were both good. Spicy ranch and... regular ranch were good as well. Tater tots much better than the fries. Shakes were good but VERY thick. My daughter and Ienjoyed the vanilla but my wife and other daughter said the chocolate wasn?t very chocolate-y. As the other reviews mentionit?s definitely pricey. $77 for three burgers (one with tots one with fries, one just the burger), a kids mac and cheese and twoshakes. Read more
I got "The Cure" burger with sweet potato fries, and my buddy got The Cowboy burger with regular fries. The food was good, but... it was $40 for the two of us. They cook your burger to order, which I love, but the burgers are very greasy. The sweet potatofries were super good; I think they coat them in a light cinnamon sugar rub after frying, and it really makes it taste like aloaded sweet potato. We both said it was good, but with a high price. Read more
This is such a great restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh. I will always come here when I visit Memphis.
Food was just ok. A bit pricey for what they give you. They do offer free kids meals with an adult purchase which is good. They... also serve alcohol. Glad I purchased $50 for $25 voucher from Get my Perks or I would have been disappointed that i paid so muchfor mediocre food. Got the chicken and waffles, 3 small flavorless chicken stips on top of two really flat, hard and coldwaffles, probably would have been better had the waffles been hot. I have $50 more bucks to spend and will definitely get aburger since that's what they specialize in. Second review coming soon. Hopefully I'll have a better experience. Read more
I don't know if I keep picking the wrong Belly Acres location (Overton Square) but I have had multiple bad experiences and will... not be returning. The service staff is consistently apathetic and the food is overpriced for what you get. I understandfarm-to-table is going to increase cost but the presentation should at least seem like it's on purpose. I feel like I paid $80for a couple of burgers, fries, and some shakes at a greasy dive. On this visit the shakes took so long we were nearly donewith our food the SECOND time we asked for them. The frigid young lady that brought them was unapologetic about our wait - as if15 minutes AFTER your food arrives is the standard wait time. And she seemed annoyed when I approached the counter to inquire. And somehow, after all that time, she brought two straws for three shakes. I do reviews all the time to signal boost greatrestaurants and, specifically, great servers as I am in the food industry. I have broken wine glasses on tables of guests thatthanked me and tipped me well for my service. This young woman bringing the shakes was either having a bad day or needs to be inanother profession. She ruined my experience. Belly Acres has lost my business. p.s. - The food is decent but nothing to writehome about. And definitely not worth the price. Read more
So today was one of those days we really didn't feel like staying indoors. We decided to hang out in midtown and stopped over by... Overton Square. We decided to munch at BellyAcres and it was well worth it. Saturday afternoon, awesome crew working. We met ayoung lady(whose name I didn't get) at the door who was just coming in to work and set us up with the menus etc. We ordered, satdown and within minutes we had out food. Piping hot, cheesy fries, the wife had the Cure burger which was melted Gouda cheese, crispy bacon, braised tomatoes and sauteed onions on a delicious brioche bun. Their special sauce was an added zing to the tastebuds. I had the PB&J burger which was a surprise. No there isn't any peanut butter but you get 3nice slices of pork belly servedon a burger patty smeared in pepper jack cheese, and a dollop of jalapeño jam on a lightly toasted sourdough bun. Guarantee tolick you fingers. Wash it all down with your favorite beer and it's a lunch worth having. Good times... Read more

Dirty produce! what i?m HOPING was dirt all at the bottom of the takeout container. I usually love their fried chicken garden... salad. It?s overpriced, but good. I was disappointed when they changed the size for to-go, seems like it lost a third of theportion size. This is a restaurant where they most definitely give you less food if you?re ordering take out. My long distancepartner surprised me with food, i went and picked it up, got home and was ready for our facetime date. and the first thing inotice is several clumps of wet dirt on a majority of the lettuce. Seriously? I?m assuming you aren?t properly washing yourproduce. Which is EXTREMELY dangerous for your customers. I couldn?t stop thinking about how busy the restaurant was on asaturday night and all those people consuming (at least) unwashed lettuce. Will not be returning. Read more
