I am currently traveling for work from Indiana and today was my first experience at the melrose park location. I placed my order... online through the app I picked up my pizza right on time. Pizza was perfect hot and delicious Grew up eating the frozenpizzas. I was so thrilled to be able to try a freshly made one !! Service was fast and friendly . The pizza is expensive. Home Run Inn have lost it!!!!! It is not the same anymore. The quality has gone down. Home Run Inn in Melrose Park; the food is... horrible. I WILL NOT BE BACK and will tell others! Had a terrible time. Came in at 7:40. Had to wait a long time at the counter because there was no one to take my order even... though two people were sweeping up the dining room. After ordering, waited twenty minutes for my food. Employees were loudlycleaning, making a racket with chairs and all, two feet from me. They just wanted to go home as soon as possible. Location is extremely clean,no issues in that Part.bathrooms are also very clean .I walked in at around noon on a Monday and... everything was looking freshly clean. Service was friendly and very attentive. We ordered an extra large half sausage and cheesepizza it's your regular home run in pizza, Not amazing pizza but just your average thin crust. We ended up paying around $30,that seemed abit high for me ,usually we get amazing chicago pizza at around $30-$35 range from other better known Chicagolocations . But with the very few good options available in the area and if you want something before you head to thetheater,across the street,this can be your best option....they also have pizza by the slice. I was able to eat inside. I ordered at the counter and was given a buzzer for when my food was ready. I think this was a great... way to get around being short staffed. The team members at the counter were friendly and helpful. If I was in the area I wouldreturn. Read more
