Found this place on a stop over in Chicago. I absolutely loved it! Best marinara sauce EVER! I have been looking and tasting... sauces ever since I was a teen and we moved away from my favorite Italian restaurant in CA. I have never found the "right"taste until we happened upon Abruzzo's! With the first taste my jaw dropped and my eyes popped! My husband thought I washaving a stroke! "This is it!" I yelled!! Now, the sad part: I live in Seattle! I have already decided that ANY time we flyand have a lay over it has to be in Chicago just so I can come here for spaghetti! Read more

Oh my God....this place is fantastic. A small, homey, neighborhood spot that looks like a place DeNiro, Pesci, and Pacino would... meet for a meal in a movie! Very good restaurant that I will definitely visit again. This is your mom and pop local Italian Restaurant that serves the... neighborhood. This was my first dining out experience since the lock downs were put in place (11 months), so I wanted to trysomething new (I'm glad I chose this place). The bar is across from the dining tables in the front as well as the slot machines,which not a typical restaurant setup, but the food is fresh and the owner asked about our experience at least twice when wereeating which I think is a good thing. Abruzzo?s. I?ve been there often and it truly?never gets old?. My personal favorite is their weekday, M-F, lunch buffet. I?m 100% Italian and as a group we can be VERY pickywhen it comes to our food.
