Del Taco, 2936 Sarno Road, Melbourne, FL - 0-Stars Swill Alert! McDonalds once responded to a lawsuit by stating "We do not... promote our food as healthy." That one statement sums up the bulk of fast food. What is important is consistency. You can go toa Mickey Ds in Anchorage, Alaska; San Diego, California; or Miami, Florida; and get the exact same quality at eachlocation. That said, the other day I found myself randomly generated to visit Brevard's only fast-food (or is this supposed tobe fast-casual?) location for Del Taco, a chain which speciously claims in its the tagline to be, "Better Mex." I beg to differ.Although I've read that Del Taco aims to target a space between Taco Bell and Chipotle, I would much rather walk into either ofthose establishments than ever set foot in Del Taco again. Listen, I came in with an open mind. There is a time and place forfast or fast casual food. As is my custom, I ordered three menu items with promising names and descriptions. The first wasbilled as the "Samuel Adams' Beer Battered Crispy Fish Taco." The second was promoted as the "New Carne Asada CheddarQuesadilla." The last was introduced as the "New Crispy Chicken & Guac Epic Torta," advertised on the menu as being made with"100% Fresh Guacamole." Epic? Really? I think not. I'm not going to waste my time discussing this food. It's Slop. The onlybright spot was Amy, the cashier. She was kind and professional, and when the guy in front of me was asking about gluten andsoy, she answered all his questions with patience and a smile. Stopped to try it out while in town since jacksonville fl don?t have del taco anymore. It was really hot inside broken hvac unit... clerk says. So I got meal to go and it wish pretty good. Finally a Cali chain in Florida! We need more of these in South Florida, it?ll be a big hit. They have a huge variety of choices... for vegans, vegetarians and Muslims. Highly recommend the Beyond Taco Salad, the quality I was excellent and definitely anelevated food experience. Best part is that they are open late! Will definitely go again. Read more

First time trying Del Taco and I?m super pleased with my visit. I am vegan and the cashier was very helpful with assisting with... my order. They accidentally put cheese and my order was replaced and I was given extra guacamole and more fries no questionsasked. Very friendly and understanding staff that made you feel welcome. Beyond meat was really good also. 10/10 would go backto this location. Read more
As a Cali native, my expectations were very high. This location did not disappoint. Very clean. Friendly staff. Generous... portions, everything was fresh, went on a Tuesday and the 3 for,$3.49 was on point. Tacos filled to the rim, nachos evenlycovered. I'll be back every week. Read more
*PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS* I went for my first time to this location about a week ago. I postponed my visit due to the horrible... reviews this establishment recieved the first few opening days. But I decided to try it anyways and boy oh boy was it adisappointment. First, I'm not sure why but the outside smelled really really bad. Secondly, I had to wait a substantial amountof time in line and when we left the line was even bigger. So I ordered 5 things. And when we left we didnt recieve the Frenchfries that came with the meal we purchased. Seeing the line grow even longer we decided to not go back in line and try to getour French fries, since the hours were past the lobby being open. So when I got home, again fry-less, the Iced tea we recievedwas 100 unsweetened. The tea was horrible .. like ew. But then, after finally winding down to start and eat some late nightdinner, my salad... had chips, even though I specifically asked for them not to be. Nancy&Kiwi are the best team...we are admittedly very complicated ordered, but they nailed it. Our food was so deelish after a... fun late night out.
