Reviews for Sérénité Restaurant & Culinary Institute in Medina, OH
My husband and I stopped here on our way out of town after our three day mini getaway and it was the epitome of the cherry on... top of our vacay sundae. The food was amazing and the staff were so kind and helpful and absolutely wholesome. Their mission isbeautiful and means so much to me personally, and to make things even better the food was PHENOMENAL! I literally cannotrecommend this establishment enough and will certainly be spreading the word and coming back as soon as possible. Thank you forthe amazing experience! Read more

I don’t think I could do this place justice on this review. First of all, please go on their website and read this... restaurant’s mission. It’s absolutely incredible. Now for my experience: fantastic service and food all around. Our serverwas incredible, honest, personal and knowledgeable! We were checked on by our server multiple times along with the chef. Thefood was phenomenal! I can’t say thing negative about this place. Pictured: the bread, Escargot, the Trout Almondine, and theBread Pudding Read more
What a hidden gem! Found this restaurant on OpenTable looking for a reservation on a Saturday night. Was intrigued by the... positive reviews and backstory of the restaurant/charity. The mission alone is reason to go here, but luckily the food isamazing too! We had the goat cheese tart to start; it could be a meal itself and was a great start to the meal! For entrees wehad the salmon and sea bass special. My wife enjoyed the salmon, but the sea bass stole the show (one of the best entrees I’veever had.) Cocktails and dessert both exceeded expectations too! The service was great; attentive staff and the chef even cameout to meet us and discuss some upcoming events (bourbon and cigar BBQ sounds amazing…) Overall, highly recommended; we’llbe back to experience more of the amazing menu and service! I love the concept of this restaurant. Helping those in recovery with a second chance and re-world training. Do not let any of... that deter you from coming in, if I did not know about the story, I would have never known. Walking in the door, you see a cozyhigh-end atmosphere. Looking over the menu, more of the same, fine French cuisine. The food is fantastic, service top notch andgood drinks. We both had steak, Filet and Strip, with mac & cheese and risotto for sides. Everything was cooked perfectly andseasoned well. For desert, we shared crème brulee and it lived up to the rest of the dining experience. Becky was our serverand she was wonderful. She was very attentive, gave good suggestions and took great care of us. We will be back to explore moreof the menu. As I mentioned before, if you did not know the wonderful story of this restaurant, you would never know. We had anamazing fine dining experience....Thank you Serenite! Read more
We were sat at the bar because we didn't make reservations. It was quite lovely. The host was very nice and the bartender who... took care of us was informative and polite. The food was delicious and had complex flavors which I really enjoyed. It is a veryfancy, but also intimate atmosphere. Recommend for anniversaries, date nights, or maybe even that special proposal. My wife and I made our first visit as an early anniversary date night, and we had the best time. The food was sublime and the... atmosphere romantic, but what made the evening so memorable was the service. For one, everyone on staff, especially Sherry, wasthoughtful, gracious and kind, so we felt extremely pampered. But the open secret is that the restaurant is part of a culinaryschool for people in recovery from addiction, which is where they find their fine crew. There's something deeply moving aboutknowing an exquisite meal like this also helps give someone a second chance. We cannot wait to return! Read more
We went to Serenity to celebrate my husband's birthday. My husband had the wagyu steak, I had the salmon, both of us also... ordered the French onion soup and garlic onion risotto. For dessert, we decided on the banana foster and the lemon panna cotta.Everything we tried was absolutely fantastic! On top of that, the service was top notch. Our server, Victor, was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We also got to meet the manager and the chef. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. We'll beback! Read more
