Good food never had a bad meal, pleasant atmosphere, and a place with a lot of history. I will never forget the first time I... patronized this establishment (about) 35 years ago. Today the building has changed. The aged building of yesterday had waveyfloors and roof and gave the place character unlike any place I have visited since. I recall the proprietor's grandmother wouldbe sitting by the fireplace folding towels. Which gave the place a nostalgia that complimented the stories of the visitingStatesman and outlaws who patronized the Restuarant and Inn. Read more
Traveller from out of the country. Really enjoyed the vibe and food here. The price of the menu was decent and the food was... delicious. I especially loved the bread rolls and the butter and cinnamon that it came with! We ordered a mushroom burger,coconut pie, coconut shrimp, and salmon salad. Read more
I found this gem by actually working on the restaurant through another job. I was greeted by some of the nicest employees I've... ever had the chance of meeting. The portions were very generous and the prices were great for the amount of food I received. Ifyou're in Medicine Park, Oklahoma you must stop in and eat at this place. It's one of the oldest buildings in Medicine Park andthe food was spectacular. I had the chicken fried steak with fried okra and Mac and cheese. The roll that came with the meal hada honeybutter type spread that came with it. I was blown away by the food and the service here. Will definitely be coming back. Read more
This place was absolutely delicious. I was told by my friends to check it out and they were right! The serving staff was very... quick and very responsive. I got the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. The meal had more thenwhat I could finish however not an overwhelming amount. 3/6/22- The food tasted great! We were seated right away and the waitress was pretty good. Everything looked nice. The downside... is most of us got stomach aches and 4 out of 5 of us were taking turns on the toilet all evening. We came from okc so we had tokeep stopping at gas stations to use the restroom. Never in my life have I ever had to stop so often because another familymember was about to go in their pants. We even had to stop on the side of the road. Don't know what happened. It was prettyinstant after we all ate. We had actually skipped lunch because we knew we were going to eat here. Would like to know if otherpeople got stomach aches?? Read more
Food is served basically family styles because the plate are huge but delicious with a home style cooking. Nice place old school... vibe with great service as well. Great simple menu and the location is great, we love the little town and walking around is timewell spent. Read more
Second time to visit The Old Plantation restaurant, and this time we brought out-of-country visitors with us. Restaurant has... original hard wood floors and ceiling lined with tin, nice clean wholesome feel to the place with delicious food. I tend towardlow-carb at most restaurants lately and was pleased that the server had no problem making sure my salad had no croutons andpairing my beef tips (delicious!) with a side of grilled mixed veggies. Nice restaurant in the middle of town right across from the river. The bread and cinnamon butter are awesome when served hot. We... ordered the salmon topped salad with balsamic vinaigrette, beef tips with Mac and cheese & loaded mashed potatoes, and planksalmon with okra & loaded baked potato. To finish we ordered a blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Being a touristrestaurant I thought it would be just ok but everything was great.
