Been here twice now. First time I ordered the burnt ends only about half of them were soft and chewy, the second time I ordered... them they were spot on! It used to be I would give Skinny's a much higher rating. It was the first ever restaurant I ate at after moving to Medicine... Hat. But as of lately everything is unreliable. I heard they had a change of management which might be responsible for thedegradation. Not getting the right sides; employee arguing over the phone when we corrected her upon reviewing our takeoutorder; lack of consistency in the quality, taste and temperature of the food; jar of bbq sauce ordered with takeout order(usually glass jar with branded sticker): what we got was a generic takeout plastic container 2/3 full; oh and 22% priceincrease and they don't even give pickles anymore. A must on the list of places to eat in Medicine Hat! Prepare to be greeted by the delectable smokehouse smell as soon as you're... in the parking lot, this restaurant had us smiling from start to finish. Nachos and brisket and sausage, oh my! The Nacho's wereperfectly baked and the salsa was so good! The "caramelized burnt ends" blew us away, and the "three and three" was delightful.The star of it all was definitely the brisket. I have been an avid supporter of Skinnys since its inception on Third in Medicine Hat. I applauded their creative approach to... menu enhancements throughout the last couple of years during COVID and frequently purchased both for myself and as gifts thetake and bake options. I believed in supporting local and always enjoyed the meals. In the past, i made a point of taking out oftown visitors here proudly for a meal. I am disappointed at this point to have reached out via email, phone call as well associal media to the restaurant as I understand there has been a recent change in management, one that seems unwilling toappreciate past loyalty. I remain then less than impressed...my loyalty has been worthless and when I asked staff how to providefeedback I was directed to Google Review...hmmm...I suppose you get what you ask for by times. This place smells like heaven, the receptionist was very polite and pleasant. Once I sat down, I was greeted by a blonde... waitress who was so rude I couldn?t believe it. In the middle of my asking about the menu she walks away and when she comes backand asks me if I need more time. This was my first time there and I was looking forward to eating there. Once I seen herattitude with me, I told her I?m not eating here and that she is very rude. Unfortunately I missed out on a good meal. Themanager should pick better people to work there. Read more

Great place to stop on your way through Medicine Hat, especially if you're going for a cheap fill up from Costco, it's right... along the way no matter which way you're coming from. My wife and I didn't have a huge appetite so we split some wings and theBurnt Ends sandwich (with waffle cut fries) and it was a perfect amount for a quick sit down while travelling through so Ididn't get too sleepy behind the wheel. Very delicious and a good helping of burnt ends on the sandwich, they were spilling overthe sides and that's what ya want, tasty little morsels those burnt ends were. Today was my first time in Skinny's. I checked some reviews before go (including 1star comments) and for me it was a really nice... experience. Our server was super kind and friendly also recommended me one of her favorites sides because everything looks yummyfor me and I absolutely loved it. To be honest with the people who doesn't tried yet.. please have your own experience here anddecide if you want to come back or not. (If you read the bad reviews as me) I definitely come back.
