Stopped in on Easter weekend at Papi's Country Kitchen travelling back from Maple Creek SK on our way home to Calgary AB. I had... the Rancher & my friend had the Cowgirl's Special. This used to be our ?go to? restaurant when it was Perkins. We always had a positive dining experience for Sunday breakfast.... Luckily other than the name change the restaurant has maintained the same menu and staff. During our last visit I had eggs,turkey bacon, fritters and pancakes. It was delicious. A few years ago when we were in The Hat this was a Perkins. Well the name has changed but the food is still terrific as ever. We... enjoyed a Sat brunch. Hostess was efficient & our waitress Sheila was awesome. Meals included: 1/2 Avacado Benny, The Panhandler+ Buttered Toast, Cowboy's Choice & lastly Sr Fish & Chips w Fries & Gravy. Great home-style meal! We stopped by Papi's for a quick lunch on our way to Regina from Calgary. The menu was large and had... something for everyone. The portions were huge and the food was tasty. Prices were fair and comparable to most family-friendlyrestaurants. The staff was super friendly and courteous. They accommodated our large group and we felt very welcome with ourkids. First time visiting here. Being originally from Red Deer, this place reminded me of Glenn's Restaurant with its country theme,... comfort and family-friendly food and atmosphere. Taken out on a special occasion lunch, the three of us all had the Clubhouse -turkey, bacon, cheddar, lettuce , tomato and mayo! Then we enjoyed their cheesecakes which were fabulous! Great food, greatportions - so much we each took home half our sandwich! The fries were tendercrisp and tasty! Clam chowder was good after tryingmy first bite, I've learned to like something new today! Next time, we'll be in for breakfast! Read more
