We came out of the restaurant with a real bad stomach ache. Not sure if the fried fish was the cause but I would caution people... about this one. Orderd the swordfish tacos special and it was delicious. Subtle but tastey topings didn't take away from the fish. They use... exotico tequila as the base for every margi on the menu. Some restaurants are following suit because of the pricepoint and tastereviews but i have not been as highly impressed with the result of one of my favorite drinks made with exotico. Regardless, thefirst margi was flat and deminished my initial impression. Plus they (in my opinion) overcharge to upgrade the second round. The waitstaff was great from start to finish. This restaurant offers outdoor seating but be aware that happy hour does not count if you are sitting outside?I had my dog with... me so it was very unfortunate that no exception could be made. Loved the experience, loved the food! My wife has Celiac's and very rarely feels full after eating anywhere. However, she got... her fill here and was very happy to have such a nice place to go. The guacamole and chips were chunky and delicious. The bloodorange margarita was perfectly mixed. The carnitas tacos were flavorful and the lime added a good kick. The corn flour tortillaswere not crumbly and they held together well. Flan was the right amount of sweetness, but not too much. Will definitely becoming back. Read more
La Catrina is a wonderful gem in Media. The food is always fresh and seasoned to perfection. The staff is always friendly and... courteous. I'm only rating 4 stars because I was charged $1 for rocks (ice) in my Grey Goose. It would be better to make thedrink price $1 more than to itemize for ice. The margaritas are served with rocks (ice) and there's wasn't a seperate charge forit. Read more
Fun little Mexican spot, drinks were a little small for the price but we were seated quickly, and the food was very tasty. Would... definitely go back. The Diablo shrimp are definitely packing some heat so be ready for it. Read more
A welcomed addition to the Media restaurant scene. Good margaritas, good food, and good service made for a good dining out... experience. Hopefully, La Catrina can break the trend of revolving restaurants at this address. The waitress was able to makesome suggestions regarding the menu and they were definite wins. Read more
