Reviews for ITA101 in Medford, NJ
Came here around 8pm for a dinner date. I wish I had gotten the name of the waiter, but he was a very nice guy that had a slight... British accent I believe. He did say he spent time in the UK, so I hope I'm not far off. The waiter was super attentive. Hetook his time explaining the menu, portion sizes, and overall just being a friendly person. The girlfriend and I ended up orderone half-portion each of the Capelli d'Angelo alla Bolognese di Manzo, and the lemon equivalent. It's not listed and I forgetthe name. I found the bolognese pasta to be rich and savory, and while not heavy initially, it filled me up quickly. The lemonpasta was a bit tangy, with excellent fried prosciutto (I think, can't verify with the menu!). It was really a unique dish forme, and while I preferred the bolognese, the lemon pasta stood out more. We finished off with the Pollo con Gnocchi. In myopinion, it sounded better than it was. The chicken was cooked well, but the gnocchi could have been a touch firmer, and Ididn't love the sauce overall. I haven't had a lot of gnocchi though, so it's hard to compare. It wasn't bad by any means, butit left me wishing for something a bit more savory. My girlfriend loved it though. We had a great meal here at a veryreasonable price for the service and quality. We will definitely be back! Read more
We were looking forward to dining here based on the reviews and how good the menu sounded! Once there though, it became apparent... that the ambience isn?t quite there, and it is quite loud despite sound proofing. Some interesting art on the walls as well, some people might even be grossed out by it. The table bread and oil was tasty, and the service was pleasant and attentive. However, the food was just not that great. I had high hopes, but my chicken was dry and the accompanying gnocchi was mush. Theflavors of the dish didn?t seem to work optimally together. My husband?s short ribs were cooked perfectly but the flavor of thesauce was lacking. We cut our losses and didn?t get dessert. I hate to admit that we were disappointed, but we really were. There?s just too many other great Italian restaurants in the area. Read more
First time visit and it exceeded our expectations. Had the wild boar over Eggplant parm and it took me back to a similar meal... in Florence. Real tender, great combination. Also had the pasta with wild shrooms and truffles , delicious ????. Finishedwith fresh blueberry pie with gelato. Going back, they have a seasonal menu. Read more
Excellent service and food, although a little on the rich side. All depends on the order and we ordered big! The stuffed... foccacia bread was truly amazing, but it was too much for just 2 people. Would be better for 4 so that you don't fill up fordinner. I got the cacia de pepe which was excellent, but very very rich. My husband got the braised short ribs and loved themtoo, bit again, very rich. My suggestion is to split a few entrees to be able to taste more items, and don't fill up on theappetizers!! Overall, lovely place in the heart of downtown Medford. Read more
Absolutely delicious! So well done. The truffle mushroom pasta was to die for. My seafood pasta was to die for. Fred was... awesome! Auburn Winery bottles available if run out! I was surprised they didn't promote that more. We love them too. We'll beback! Read more

I used to live in northern Italy and this is the only restaurant really brings me back! The chef was trained in Italy for years... and you can tell in the dishes! We had the pasta tasting and every single plate was delicious. The tiramisu is even made on siteby the chef's mother! Authentic food, great service, and friendly atmosphere, you cannot go wrong! Never wanted to go to this place, as I am simple, and I always thought the changing menu was all odd ball items I couldn?t even... pronounce a lot of. I?ll admit when I?m wrong, as it still has many of those items, but also has an everyday menu. The bread wasfantastic, our cheese appetizer was unreal, and the 3 types of pasta we got was the best I ever had. The service was phenomenalas well. Highly recommend! We will be back soon. Read more
