Would not necessarily recommend this place, and it?s definitely overpriced ? $36 (before tip but including tax and small,... round-up donation) for two primo size subs, which is a step up from the smallest, one bag of chips, and a small pasta salad. You are sort of forced to buy the primo size sub unless you want the sub par regular white roll without sesame seeds. Otherwise, I would prefer to get a small sub since I most often get the primo for the bread and end up tossing half of it. Ithink this place has potential, and they seem to use better ingredients than most other ?fast food? establishments. However, the service is sloooow even when there are two customers in the place, and of the six times we?ve tried this place so far, ourorder was messed up over half of the time. We haven?t even tried placing an online order after the second time because it wasalways screwed up. The only reason we went back after the first time is due to a lack of other options because McMurray hasprobably one of the worst restaurant selections in Pittsburgh; they had also just opened and were still working out the kinksthe first time we tried it, so we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I was excited to see they had a newThanksgiving sub, which is why we stopped in today to give it one more try. I had high hopes. However, the turkey tasted verygamey, and the proportions of ingredients on the sandwich were absurd ? the slightest smear of cranberry (blink and you?d missit), an average amount of turkey sort of balled up and not distributed evenly on the bread, and finally, an insane amount ofstuffing (had to remove like 75% of it) all pushed to the outer edge of the sandwich. The only silver lining was that theyactually left the mayo off this time. I realize these are small problems to have compared to most, but honestly, I wouldsuggest saving your $36 or spending it elsewhere. Read more

I went there for the 1st time today. I ordered a medium sub (Italian), a bag of chips, and a soda. Charged me $21. Ridiculous... prices for a decent sandwich. Only reason it was a decent sandwich was because they had sweet peppers, which I find hard to comeby in this area for a sandwich shop. Save your money and go elsewhere. I won?t be back. Read more

It was ok. Nothing personal against this location. The staff were very cordial, professional, and efficient. I just did not... think the Mild Sharp Italian hoagie was good. 1st time trying Primo. The flavors did not tie together. The bread was very, veryhard. The sesame seed taste stands out/after taste which was odd?did not tie the flavors together. The meat/sandwich was sweettasting with a hint of bitterness sesame seed taste. Did not really go well together. It was slightly sweet? A Sweet meat orsweet oil/vinegar taste. Which I found odd. I enjoy Jimmy John?s taste best. After today 4 me- I would rate Jimmy John?s #1.Jersey Mike?s #2 and Primo 3rd. The sandwich was fresh, just no real taste..sorta bland meats, cheese, and vinegar. I asked 4onions but never tasted any/saw any. To me it was a bland, yet slightly sweet. No wow factor. I like the vinegar/salt n peppertaste?might be the vinegar Primo?s use?adding sweetness to bread? Read more

Great tasting sandwiches including the tuna diablo and turkey soprano. Easy online ordering. Friendly service at the counter.... Would have been 5 stars except the completion time for the sandwiches was 15 minutes after the estimated time. Why provideestimates if they will be off that much? The estimates should be based on real time, not historical. Read more

I know it's been open for a few months, but we've simply not had a hankering for subs until today. Stopped in and decided to... try a couple of small subs for dinner. To conduct a fair test, decided on the Pescara - which is your basic Tuna sub - and theDiablo Turkey - which their menu claims was voted best in Philly! Well, I am glad I am not in Philadelphia as to me this wasjust a normal turkey sub with some cayenne pepper thrown on it to make it somewhat spicy. I did not find it unique in any way.The same was true of the Pescara although we did appreciate the fact that they did not drown the tuna in mayonnaise. The breadwas just standard white rolls - we were told that you need to order the 9 inch subs to get the seeded rolls. For sides, wetried their cole slaw. It was on the sweet and creamy side. I liked it. If you like the other styles of cole slaw, you will notenjoy this one. Overall impression? Not as good as Subway and not as unique as Firehouse Subs. For two 6 inch subs, the coleslaw and one bag of chips, we ended up spending $25. Read more
