Delicious authentic Japanese food. Highly recommend for anyone in the area. Drove an hour to check it out and it was very worth... it. The gindara misoyaki and grilled salmon were stunning and flavorful and well cooked. Lunch special chirashi was wonderful.First time trying uni and it was very good. My mom really enjoyed the bento box and the shrimp tempura. Too full for cheesecakeso took it home for later. Read more
Should have done take out. It's good but be prepared to wait. We only ordered 4 rolls but we waited for almost 30 min. Smoked... salmon in the New York roll is really salty. I liked how the spicy salmon has a crunchy texture and the spicy scallops were thebest of them all. Overall would recommend. Read more
It is a very nice Japanese restaurant. We went there for a lunch on Wednesday. There were not many customers. The waitress... welcomed us. She smiled. But I didn?t feel very comfortable. It was weird. We ordered a sushi combination of tuna, bronzino,yellowtail, shrimp, salmon, eel, albacore and a hamanegi roll, edmame, fried dumplings, fried oysters, yakiyori, and beefpot. Generally speaking, they all tasted good, especially the fried oysters, very juicy and fresh. The beef pot is really good!The portion is big with a lot of beef slices. The soup is too salty though. Surprisingly delightful sushi spot in VA. The place doesn?t look much from outside, but the food was outstanding. I ordered... regular Sushi dinner and Nabeyaki Udon. Sushi was fresh and very flavorful and the nabeyaki udon was hot and delicious. They areusually busy during the weekend dinner service, so I would avoid that time. As always, fantastic and attentive service, without being obtrusive. I brought my dad here for his birthday and we had a... gorgeous dinner of the freshest sushi, miso soup, tempura, croquettes, and a beef entree for my dad. Everything was deliciousand beautifully prepared. I've been coming to Tachibana for years, and will continue to recommend it as a great place forquality sushi and Japanese cuisine. Regrettably the sushi bar has still not reopened since the pandemic, and it will be nice tohave that option in the future, especially as a single diner! Solid spot for Japanese food. Ordered some fried oysters and scallops to start which were perfectly cooked with a nice crispy... outside. For my main entree, I did the katsudon which was also very good. Also managed to snag a yellowtail nigiri which wasprobably the freshest sushi I've had in awhile. Definitely made me regret not order more sushi. Service was good and no issuesparking in their parking lot. Would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again. 'Til next time, cheers! Read more
