While the food was good and the service was fair,, the bill was a shock. Included in the bill was a 20% gratuity and a "fee". ... Apparently, this restaurant punishes customers for using a credit card. The "fee" is a charge for paying for your food with acredit card.. We were not told this in advance and there is no sign inside or outside the restaurant. I think it would be betterto include the fee in the prices and give the customer a "discount" for using cash. And I always thought that the amount of thegratuity was left to the customer. Never had a bill that looked like the one I got at this restaurant. Our bill for 2 adultswas $51. Ordered nothing special. My order did not have meat, chicken or fish. Did not have a cocktail, appetizer or coffee. And we shared a desert. It's not the amount of the bill, but the fact that a 20% gratuity and a "fee" was included in the bill.And this is a neighborhood restaurant in the same space that used to be Pizza Hut. RESPONSE TO OWNER: Ordered tonight via Uber Eats. Ordered tacos for myself and clearly wrote,"No onion, no cilantro, no sour... cream. Only meat and cheese please." Upon receiving my order, the tacos were full of sour cream, so much so I couldn't evenremove it. I called and was told that I could pick up new tacos and that the cook was confused because I selected the cream andcheese option for an additional 35 cents. The last time I ordered tacos I asked for plain tacos with cheese, but was told thatnext time I must check the box for cream and cheese, and then write no cream because of the need to pay extra for cheese. Sotoday I was told I confused the cook because I filled out the order form the way I was requested to. I am not sure why meat andcheese tacos are so difficult for your establishment to fulfill. I paid for delivery because I could not leave my home, but youwere unable to send my replacement tacos. I then asked for a refund, but was told that only a future credit could be provided.So after ordering from your restaurant, my dinner ended up being cereal tonight. Previously, I have ordered a tamale that wasnever provided in my order. Prior to that, two flan were missing. Prior to that, I ordered nachos that said only chips, cheeseand chicken, yet beans were included on the nachos. On a smaller scale, another time I ordered a three taco dinner plate andasked for two rice sides instead of beans/rice but received 1 bean and 1 rice. So on and so on. My orders are almost evercompletely correct from La Trinidad, there must not be anyone making sure your order is correct prior to it leaving yourrestaurant. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This place never gets any special order requests correct. It is either not correct or you arejust missing something entirely from your order. I can't say enough wonderful words for this location. After a long days work and finished up at a family party near by, stopped... for dinner. After living in Mexican for 10 years, I'm hard to impress with Mexican food, but it is my absolute favorite. Iordered the shrimp cocktail and steak taco dinner. The quality of the meat was top notch, the amazing flavor of the tortillasthat melt in your mouth. The staff is also very friendly and very professional. I'm am in love with this restaurant. Stopped in on Sunday. Restaurant was clean, servers were friendly, and the food was just SO good! We were surprised plate after... plate. Nachos- homemade chips, delicious beans, melty cheese and steak! 10/10 Bombo Ranchero - spicy, tender meat, meltycheeeeseeeee and homemade tortillas. 10/10 Burrito - the size of an actual football. 10/10 My piña colada was delicious aswell. Decent food, nice staff, could use a bit more entertainment maybe some more TVs?
