Beautiful spot in McFarland where you can eat and experience the local lake before and after dinner. Menu includes fried... chicken, walleye, and bluegill, so it is a Wisconsin dinner spot done right. Ownership and service are Wisconsin friendly, andthe food is football Saturday good... meaning (in my humble opinion...) it doesn't get any better than this. We hadn't been herefor a few years, but used to go quite a bit. Delivery appetizers (onion rings, French fries, etc), dinner club style salads withFrench dressing, and fried chicken done the way it's supposed to be. While Pete the retired truck driver and I ordered and moweddown on and loved the fried chicken...Lisa got the fish tacos and Brett ordered his walleye broiled. Brynne, of course, enjoyedher chicken strips and fries. Wisconsin beat an already beat up New Mexico State team 66-7. And all was right in the (local)world, if only for a moment. Read more
Had their Friday cod fish fry. The cod was lightly battered and flaky. Staff was very friendly. Been here mainly for breakfast.... Food and service has always been great. Read more
I decided to go here to eat and view the dock/water. Had the tenderloin and shrimp which was fantastic in taste. Shrimp was... the biggest I've seen in a very long time. Table was sticky. Service was ok ... Long wait on getting a glass of Pepsi. Theyfixed up place with new tables and chairs and now have outdoor dinning in front which is great addition however no sight of thedock/water from that area. Worth another trip in the future.... We had an amazing, delicious breakfast today-lobster omelet, classic omelet, & cinnamon vanilla french toast. The most friendly... waitstaff. Excellent meal, great prices. Definitely will be going back. Read more
Sunday Brunch! If you haven?t ever had Walleye and eggs, I?m sorry. Go here, get it, by far the The Greenies tips the scales. It... is so amazing, don?t bother with anything else. Sounds strange you say, then you aren?t from WI and you just need to go and try.Treat your sever well, they are all so great!!!! If you are extra hungry like me, get a second piece of walleye. I know itsounds a bit fishy, but you will be full to the gills by the time you hit your ?wall?eye. The bar also makes goooood drinks. Read more
It was very good. The burger I had was one of the best burgers I have ever had. You can see the lake from the dinning room. The... bar looked very nice. The seasoned fries were the best. Service was very fast and very polite. It was one of the best places Ihave been. Read more
Friday Fish Fry! Except today I opted for the seafood fettuccine. I did end up asking for more sauce but that may have just been... because I dabbed up quite a lot of it with the delicious toast that came with. Alfredo sauce was decent, noodles were cookedcorrectly and the sauce was actually quite generous with the amount of Shrimp, scallops, crab, and lobster meat. Ooof.
