I have been searching a long time for a place with a GOOD steak in this area. McEwen is now my "go to place" ! I had a juicy... ribeye, cooked to perfection, w/homemade delicious potato salad & fresh, fried green tomatoes! I am telling you, go there! Myfriends' meals were just as delicious, too! It is worth the drive. The folks there are super friendly & take great care of you. And the prices are totally reasonable. I left there "full as a tick" and cannot wait to go back. Maybe next time I will tryto leave room for dessert...? Read more
Success happens when you get something that is above expectation. Food was good, service was good and prices a bit high but... normal. Considering I had take out I will reserve my right to change my rating if my experience on a dine in exceeds average. Read more
What a gem! Wonderful food and friendly service!
Drove from Erin to eat something "different". We first ordered chips and salsa in which the salsa was chunky store bought and... the corn chips was so old and stale, you could not eat them. My husband ordered a steak and I got the Hawaiian chicken. When thewaiter sit the steak down, a very FOUL, FOUL odor appeared. Once he cut the steak, the odor was twice as bad. It was gutwrenching. Have no doubt that if this steak had been eaten, someone would have been very, very sick. My chicken was nothing towrite home about either. Very disgusted to say the least. Will not be back! Ordered a Philly Cheese steak. The meat literally was green!! I should have gotten a picture before sending it back. I didn't... want anything else after that. Service isn't great either. No personality at all, could hardly hear the waitress when she didtalk and just stayed in the back mostly.. They could use a dehumidifier as well.. My husband's steak was super thin and overcooked.. most of the employees didn't speak English either.. I don't say much about that when going to a Mexican restaurant butthis is supposed to be a steakhouse with down home southern cooking ????.. way over priced and not worth it at all.. Read more
