It's hard to find really good barbecue in Indiana. Trax delivers with their low and slow smoked Meats cooked over Hickory wood.... Our favorites are the brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. The sides are on equal par with their Meats, and all made in house,as are there several varieties of barbecue sauces. We love the dill pickles and the hush puppies especially. I wasn't braveenough to try this month's smashburger, which is two beef patties, pulled pork, brisket, pimento cheese, slaw and t.o.p. on abrioche bun. The food is really good, but what makes this place extra special is April. She is kind, friendly, and always ontop of things. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 is because they don't have corn nuggets ????. Worth a drive to check itout, enjoy a beer at the enjoined brewery, and spend time enjoying friends and great food. Easily the best brisket I've had from a restaurant. We drove a little over an hour to give this place a try. Food came out... quickly. We weren't big fans of the sauces that we tried but none of the food needed any sauce. We will definitely be back again Read more
First time checking out Trax BBQ and I would definitely come back. Give it a go, I think you'll find it a repeat spot. The... brisket was top notch quickly followed by the homemade pickles and slaw. The portion sizes are bang on for anyone w/a healthyappetite. Having the brewery attached was a nice, unexpected touch too. Read more
This was not our 1st time to visit Trax BBQ, and it won't be the last! I can only comment on the brisket as that is the only... meat I have ever had here. You have a choice of lean, fatty, or in between. I usually get the in between which is a good mix.The brisket is very tender and flavorful. You really don't even need a sauce, but they have several to chose from. Sides canvary slightly depending on the time of year, but they are good as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. ???????? Finally made it to Trax BBQ tonight. I'm certainly not some sort of BBQ master, but my wife and I were very excited to give it a... try after seeing good things. Walking up it smelled amazing. I would say the pulled pork was decent for sure. The brisket wastop notch, the only better I've had was Pecan Lodge in Dallas. The ribs were fantastic and so was the chicken. Nothing reallyneeded BBQ sauce, but I will say, they had a pretty flavorful selection. Of course we sampled them all. The sides.... that'swhere things got really good. The green beans were spectacular, my favorite for sure. The Mac and cheese was incredibletoo. That monster brownie with the vanilla ice cream was just the right sweet to have with the savory. As far as BBQ I've hadin Indiana. This ranks the best so far. The value for what you get is great too. If you like BBQ, you should definitely givethis place a shot. Read more
Fabulous BBQ! We ordered the 1/4 tray for two people which gives you your choice of 3 meats, 2 pieces of bread, a very small cup... of slaw, cucumber pickles and choice of 2 sides. We chose potato salad and baked beans as our sides. We also opted for a sideorder of hush puppies! ALL the food was delicious and there are at least 8 different BBQ sauces, all available to try! Trax BBQis also connected to Scarlett Lane Brewery and you can take your food and/or brews to either establishment! Additionally, weordered the brownie and ice cream desert that was drizzled with caramel and chocolate syrup! Although the ice cream cup washalf melted, the huge brownie was to die for!
