Reservation at 7pm for 4 adults. Didn't receive our coffees until 755 & was served curdled creamer. Needed new coffees... because we didn't know it was bad until taking a drink-surprise! Waitress didn't believe us because the cream "looked" normalbut when she smelled what was unused she said "ohh, yeppp.... that's definitely bad!"". Had to wait another 20 min to getcoffees & she continued to serve every other table but ours, despite our 7pm reservation &despite waiting over an hour for basicbeveridges. Finally received the water that we asked for 1hr & 20min later (from diff server that we stopped). Apps werefine but salad had tiny rotted plum tomatoes that "looked" normal at 1st glance, but 2 of us ate a couple before realizing theywere bad like the creamer. Aporoached 1 hr and 30 min AFTER ordering our food that they ran out of baked potato & asked toselect something else, which we did. Dinner served at 850....3 of 4 entres inedible...pilaf looked like microwaved ricethat had sat on the counter a few hours after dinner. Veggies were savagely overcooked and minimal in volume. , 3 of the 4meals had meat that was drastically overcooked and honestly tasted reheated....we each felt the meat had a microwave texture andtaste. In total honesty, each meal was about $40.00 or more, & the price was not an issue, but the quality and experience wasless appealing than old gas station food. . Still no bread given to us during appetizer, salad or main. Server completelyneglecting us throughout meal yet other tables were being cared for by other wait staff, and turned over without problem. When asked if food was okay we conveyed that we were NOT ok with what was delivered but fearful of how long it would take tofix it. The waitresses's attitude was so aggressive & confrontational that we told her we would try to make it work....butafter a few bites, it was just horrible despite being hungry. All were different entrees. I got up from the table todiscretely seek management & was told by blonde hostess in hot pink shirt that our waitress in black & white stripes was themanager on duty. Mid 40s maybe? I asked to speak to her in private about the overall experience & asked her to compatleast one of the uneaten meals. She agreed & turned her back to me without hesitation & walked directly to our table atbreakneck speed. She shocked me when she aggressively interrupted the conversation of my seated guests by putting her hand onthe table to command their attention & asked with a loud accusatory voice "so is everyone's food bad??". It was unprofessional, tactless & flat out nasty. My guests did not respond & looked up at her in shocked, to which the mngr waved her hand in theair, turned her back again & stated loudy "fine! You owe nothing! You can just leave" as she turned her back on us & startedto walk away in a hurry. I said " Wait a minute! We are not looking for freebies here! We will happily pay for the food weconsumed that was edible (2 coffees, 1 lemonade, salad, 2 appetizers, 1 entree, but the rest of this has been simplyhorrible." She turned her back (again) & walked away stating loudly that we owed nothing. ((Not in an apologetic andgenuine way but as a means of trying to completely embarrass myself & my guests or an attempt to make us feel likefreeloaders)). News flash ma'am, we can afford much better but refuse to eat rotted, curdled, petrified food, & do not tiphostile waitress managers. Who taught you to treat people this way?? A few seconds later she returned & asked if we neededto go boxes, to which everyone simply said 'no thank you'. Food was left on the table nearly how it was served. Been going toThe Mill 20+ yrs. Moved to DC a few years ago but always return home to our roots. Will NEVER return. Happy BirthdayJacki. Sorry you were treated this way on your birthday after driving an hour to meet us here. What an absolutely aggressive &shocking experience the 4 of us had tonight at the Mill. Read more

Absolutely amazing service and food! Being a local for years I finally ate at The Mill! Food tasted absolutely delicious, came... out fast and hot, our server was so kind. I get super nervous going into new restaurants with having a dairy allergy, our serverwas nothing but accommodating and made sure I was able to enjoy my meal without the worry. 10/10 recommend this place to anybodywho?s looking for great steaks and a great atmosphere! Atmosphere is fantastic, so much to see if you look around. Food and drinks we good, we got two prime ribs and they were done... right. I was unable to finish which I blame on a bag of Stacy cake cookies. Manhattan had some ice in it which was a littleweird but it was still good. They were short staffed as everyone is these days and the employees that were there did a greatjob of checking in on us often. Read more

This is an honest write up. Sometimes the truth hurts. The atmosphere was great. The food...... $40 for a New York steak that... had NO flavor...just a sprinkle of pepper but not enough tobtaste just see the attempt. don't waste your hard earned money onit. Calamari was decent.. but the sauce was something you get from Panda Express not a true Calamari dipping sauce. Fries(potato bites) were good again could use some seasoning. The wife's fish and chips.. The fish was very fluffy and melted inyour mouth! The drinks were not stiff. We spent over $110 for a dinner for 2 and for that kind of money you expect food withflavor. The staff was very nice and professional without being over bearing but keeping an eye on drinks and making sure theywere refilled before empty and having you wait. Read more

The food was awful. We got steak medallions, salmon and fettuccine Alfredo. Both the steak and salmon were not fresh, likely... frozen and thawed. The salmon was over cooked and the steak medallions were raw to rare when I requested medium. I mean, thefood was so bad we ate 2 bites and couldn?t do any more. And it was EXPENSIVE to be that bad was not a good experience. This hasnever happened to me where it?s that bad that I just won?t eat anymore. The fettuccine Alfredo was bare able but the noodleswere broken into 2? sticks?why ??????? odd. We were rushed to order and then neglected when our food was delivered so waitedFORVER to close out and leave. The bar area with the fireplace is amazing! I recommend going for a drink and hanging out in thebar and that?s it. Didn?t know we could eat in the bar area, which would?ve been cool. Instead we were in the corner of someroom squeezed in ton a time table for 2 but had 4 of us? Read more
