I'd lived in McCall for over a year and never managed to stop in but did a few days ago and I'll be back for sure. Friend had... the mozzarella/ham panini, I had the turkey with a spinich side salad that had a really good bacon balsamic vinaigrette. Wineselection is stellar and reasonably priced. I had a glass of really delicious Tempranillo that was generous and only $5. Thestaff?? Really, really good people and they work as a solid team. Funky little cafe with cool vibes. Cooks not wearing gloves. Open kitchen, watched line workers make salads and sandwiches with... bare hands, run food, then come back in without washing and continue to build food. Mentioned it at our table after ordering andhusband refused to eat his salad. No croutons on Caesar salads. Good food, but not interested in watching cross-contamination. Read more
If you can avoid the crowds on the weekend this is absolutely one of the best places in McCall to meet with friends or just hang... out and read a book. Nicely shaded, fun games, plenty of places to sit, and great conversations with the staff. Overall agreat place to see. Love to live Piano on the weekends too let's be honest! Read more
Absolutely the wotst service I have ever experienced!! Salad (which came out after my 3 companions were done with their food)... was terrible with a ?sprinkle? of the smoked trout that was suppose to be highlighted. Just prior to that, I was treated like abum because I asked if there was a way to get a couple additional drinks without waiting in the food ordering line; my mistake. The young blonde female server was sarcastic & when a little off when I asked the cashier about my missing food. Then she sentthe owner over to listen to my conversation?.NEVER going back there!! Whenever my family is in town we have to stop in for the baked Brie and a bottle (or two of wine). They always have a selection... open that you can sample ? and are great at giving recommendations for new wine to try. Read more
I have made it a point to come to the Bistro 45 on both of my last two trips to McCall. The spinach and artichoke dip is... AMAZING! The veggies soup was also great and the tomato and mozzarella salad was so fresh. The warm spiced red wine was also atreat! I highly recommend this cozy spot. And if you are into wines they have a great list or by bottle at reasonable prices. Read more
This is probably my favorite steak sandwich in Idaho, solid wine selection. But Isabelle really went above and beyond today... helping us with our toddler tantrum (chocolate chip cookie!) And even replaced the dropped sandwich thanks to our 5 month old. Thank you for helping us turn that around quick! Read more
