Reviews for McAllister Inn Steakhouse Bar & Lodge in McAllister, MT
I love McAllister Steak house! It's great after a long day of fishing! Great truffle fries, and burgers, and steaks! Fun... friendly place! Read more
Quiet, quaint, and quality hotel! In the middle of nowhere but not too far from grocery store, restaurants, and a good middle... hub if visiting Bozeman or Yellowstone. Beautiful room with high ceilings, private back patio is a nice touch to each room. Willdefinitely return! Read more
Lodging- you won't find any place that's better if you're in Ennis or McAllister. Large rooms and super clean. Laundry room and... vending machine on premises. Each room has a back porch with spectacular views of the mountains. Restaurant- Hands down myFavorite place to dine. The beef is from the Lone Heart ranch down the road. The Walleye is hugely popular. The shrimpcocktail is my favorite appetizer. Read more
Was early for dinner so sat in the bar area. Had appetizers that where good. Ordered dinner/Walleye dinner. It had no flavor... and was not worth $35.00. Also took over 40 minutes to get steak and walleye delivered to table. Expensive and not worth it. Go somewhere else. Read more
The rooms were reasonably priced and very nice and clean. The lobby only being open from 9 to 6 was kinda odd, as far as inns... go. The food was good, just not as good as I would have thought for the prices they charge. Main reason this place gets threestars, is that it doesn't have any beers on tap....no idea how you could even call it a "bar". Also the place is filled withCalifornians..... McAllister was probably beautiful before the invasion Read more
Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. We were traveling with our dog and she... greatly appreciated the fenced dog area. We were only sorry we couldn?t stay a few more nights. We would definitely stay hereagain. Read more
Had a decent time with a wonderful group of people last night but, the group of people mostly made the time special, not the... restaurant. I would come back and try this place again however, I would say a few things. Our table was left alone repeatedlyfor over 40 minutes at a time. To the point our group was upset because some had to leave early and felt like they couldn?t getservice or get going. Our poor server was so slammed with other tables but, it took almost an hour to get my appetizer that Idid not want it by the time I got it. I asked for refills in hot water for tea and, I think instead of just refilling the cup, bringing out a smaller container of tea would be best. My server went to go refill my cup and did not come back for almost fortyminutes. It was insane. We were at this restaurant for almost 3 hours which most of it was spent getting waiting on. We had agroup of 8 people but, the automatic gratuity of 18% added to our bill was not worth it in my opinion. Will I come back ? Eh.Foods decent but, the service was just not up to par. I wished we could have had a different experience here. Read more
We have always had great meals at McAllister Inn. However, our last experience was terrible. We had reservations for 7:00 pm and... we were promptly seated. After waiting for approximately 15 minutes, our server stopped at our table. We ordered a drink fromthe bar and she came back to take our food order. The appetizer was delicious and served hot. After this, the rest was terrible. Our dinner finally came out a little after 8:30. The $50 steak was cold as were the au gratin potatoes. My chicken was cold andthe baked potato was kinda warm. When we told the waitress, she seemed very unconcerned. We were not looking for a free meal.Unfortunately, we will never go back. Read more
