I ordered bistec tacos combo. Meat had lots of tough pieces.
The tacos were a little bit cold and the meat didn?t have a lot of flavor. I?m not a huge fan or the yellow tortilla. The... frijoles charros were ok even tho the portion was too small. The baked potatoes are bigger than I thought. The aguas naturaleshad a weird taste, too much cinnamon for the horchata and the Jamaica had way too much sugar, I would suggest to go for thePepsi. 5 star tacos in a 4 star restaurant. Every time we travel to McAllen, we always come here for tacos. They are our favorite place... to eat and in our opinion, the best tacos we?ve ever had. The best part? The price! Excellent food for such a low price. We paidabout $25 for a taco family platter that overfed 4 adults. It comes with beans, baked potatoes and taco platters that haveseveral tacos on each plate. I seriously love the tacos so much. Staff is nice too. The worst part? The restaurant could becleaner. We had to ask for someone to please wipe down our table that was covered in food. The bathrooms were a little dirtytoo. Also, ice in the beverage machine didn?t always release ice and the agua de jamaica (hibiscus tea drink) was coming outrough and splashed everywhere as it came out. Every time I decide to give this taqueria a chance they always remind me of why I shouldn?t The food taste so gross , it?s... cheap, it never taste fresh, and the new menu is not great , I don?t plan on coming back. I?m so disappointed I would only comehere for the two fajita tacos they used to have. Read more
