I was in a hurry and I didn't know what to get because it was my first time there & the cashier Benny helped choose my food with... a big bright smile & good greetings. Man handing out food had tattoos on each shoulder and a mustache was really rude by ignoring people calling him for assistance.... He came to our table and asked if we needed anything we said yes and asked for napkins and he made a face and walked away. Today I visited to have my lunch. I ordered a chicken fajita taco and a diet coke. With a great surprise, they offered me... another taco for free. It was a nice gesture for an international student who barely understands the español. I felt at home inthat place. However, it was my first visit to this place. Always check your nicely packed bag of food before driving away. I didn't check my bag and after a long day at work, feeling... tired and hungry, I drove through the 5 o'clock traffic to arrive home and realize they didn't pack my order correctly. Sigh. Taco Palenque is not what it used to be, the place inside is filthy, there are no staff cleaning it is very dirty inside, there... were no salsas, pico de Gallo or limes. We had to pick up our food, the meat in the tacos was not that tasty and veryoverpriced for the quality. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place, terrible service, dirty place and overpriced food. I was verbally harassed by some homeless man here yesterday, he was grabbing all the chips and salsa. He called me and my friend... codas after we said we didn't have cash on us. ¯_(?)_/¯ I don't carry cash. I highly recommend this place if you like beingberated by homeless people. I wish the poor employees luck with this issue, I can only imagine how uncomfortable it can be forthem. Read more
