Bad experience with the food ordered tenders and they were hard unable to eat them
It was very good food but needed to clean, especially the floors and tables. Medium lids were missing. Men's restroom was... pretty dirty but the restroom needed update. Outside of the building looks nice but the inside of the building can use TLC. Itwas late, a little after 8 p.m. Read more

My son wanted fried chicken for lunch so we ended up at KFC on Nolana and 6th St. in McAllen. This particular KFC has been... around for a long while and sadly it looked it. Walking in I immediately saw the signs of a restaurant in need of a seriousmakeover. The chairs we sat in and the water stained celling tiles added to this observation. Honestly, I went there for thetaste of eleven herbs and spices that season their famous original chicken. My son ordered the crispy option, and we bothordered the 4 piece combo, it's was around 9 dollars, not bad. He added corn to his order and I added another mashed potato andgravy. I like that you get a whole side, a breast, wing, thigh and a drum. Popeyes gives two wings and two thighs. The orderalso comes with a biscuit which I found to be fairly hard on the outside. I tried my son's corn, needs help! A little butter,salt and pepper would go a long way to improve the blandness. The chicken was deliciously tender and flavorful. My son reallyenjoyed his chicken, we traded thighs and I found it to be crispy good. Will I be going back, of course I will, KFC has theconsistency that we all have come to enjoy over the years and that's what keeps us going back for more. I might not go back nextweek or next month, but with a growing boy to feed, I'm sure a trip back for the red and white bucket is in the future. Read more

1 Star for poor service. We went by and order chicken bucket and they only had legs, so we changed it to chicken strip boxes... with fries, they had no fries and no wedges so we changed it to mashed potatoes. We get home and we got mashed potatoes with NOgravy and we got chicken NUGGETS instead of strips. Oh and they ran out of ice for the drinks aswell. Just close down early ifyou guys don?t want to cook or keep up with the fountain drink machine. Read more
I've had KFC all over the world. I recently moved to McAllen last year from Massachusetts by way of Virginia Beach and... SanDiego to spend time with my sons families, both in the Navy. And this is the first time KFC chicken didn't taste like KFCchicken.Tasted like old shortening and none of the secret spices. I've had better grocery store chicken. Not sure if I want tochance this one again. Corporate needs to check on the quality control down here. Read more
Went after work to get their classic chicken sandwich, and this is what they gave me. I usually go during the day, but this... time is the third time I go after work and they give me a hard, cold piece of chicken, smaller than the bun. I was disgusted!!
