It?s okay pizza. To be honest, not what I expected. It definitely felt like a pizza place of the late 90s. So my hopes were... high. However I found the crust to be not great. Went to celebrate a birthday. Turned into a mess. Folks ordered two pizzas about 20-30 min before we arrived. We show up, about... 5:30, and buffet is scarce. They put out a few pizzas that we managed to grab a few pieces of... Finish our plates. At thispoint it's been over an hour that the pizzas were ordered and we keep getting told that they're on their way out of the oven.Finally, we are ready to cut cake... But still waiting for pizza. Not one drink refilled until we got our own. Watched manypeople that came in after us get their food. Sadly the folks paid up front. Next time we'll go to snappy tomato where theyactually have a buffet and cook a pizza in less than an hour and a half. (To Marks wife. I realize you don't care about ourpatronage, you said as much, but why not aim for a higher standard. I remember when you guys first came to town and the old mancame around talking to everyone and making people feel welcome while keeping the buffet going. He even brought a specialty pizzato our table. He knew how to make guests feel welcome and make a great impression. I feel you two have run it in the ground andwe won't be back. Mayfield, KY, has been hit hard due to the December tornado! So many around the country have helped our community since then... and continue to do so! So much love, compassion and good Samaritans have shared to keep Mayfield strong! That being said, onepizza place that always brings us joy and never fails to cover our taste buds with deliciousness ???? is Aces!! Our most recentpizza was a large pizza, half pepperoni and half ground beef! The cheese is amazing...just the right amount of sauce and crustwill keep you satisfied!! When you are in our area and have a craving for a scrumptious pizza with loads of flavor, have Acesnumber on your speed dial!!! Read more
We decided to try this pizza place after seeing pics and reading reviews. Our group got there, 4 of us, ordered 3 side salads... and a Chicago style pizza with Aces toppings. Waitress asked if we knew how long it took for the Chicago style and we said yes,menu states 45 minutes. Got our salads, quite small for $4 each, and we waited for our pizza. 45 minutes, then 1 hour, then 1 hr20 minutes before we got it. We served ourselves and the pizza was NOT hot, barely warm. We asked the waitress did this justcome out of the oven or has it been sitting back there b/c it is not HOT, she said it just came out, then why isn't steam comingoff it?? She said it should be............but offered no reason or apology. It did taste good, smaller than I thought it wouldbe, maybe 10". Also very chilly in the restaurant, hands were hurting it was so cold, no explanation for that either. Theyoffered no discount for a $24 warm pizza. We won't be back.
