As local people we try to patronize local establishments. Tonight was very disappointing and this makes two times in a row of a... bad experience. Tonight we arrived and put our names in to be seated, went to the bar to wait. We were told 25-30 minutes. Thenwe noticed folks who came in after us seated. When we checked we were told that it would be another 20 minutes, making our waitfor a table more than an hour, while others were seated before us. I think an hour, in our area is quite a long wait. We did notstay and left to go elsewhere. Last time we were seated fairly quickly, but waited more than an hour for our food. Both onSaturday nights. Not sure if that?s the issue or something else, but clearly something needs adjusting. We also realize thatfinding help is tough right now. Read more

We came here because this place made it in the "Best" of paper. However, this place was hardly that. The service was slow (I had... to get up twice to get attention. One to order drinks and the other when we were ready to pay our bill). The crackers andvariety of dips that come with the meal was not great. Ritz crackers and some disgusting smoked trout or something? The dinnerrolls looked like something that came in a dinner roll bag from Walmart. We ordered the bruschetta (it was mediocre). Our dinnersalads were good, but again nothing special. We ordered them with ranch dressing because that is the only one made in house. Theother dressings are premade. We ordered a bloody mary and a cocktail off of the drink menu (that we also had to ask for). Thecocktail was decent and the bloody mary wasn't. I ordered salmon for dinner and my husband ordered ribs. I could have cooked thesalmon better myself at home. Hardly any flavor or seasoning. The carrots looked they were frozen baby carrots? My husband saidthat he didn't even want to finish the ribs. He ordered it with fingerlings and carrots. We left all the carrots on our plates. One taste of them was enough. Honestly, if this place were cheap I wouldn't have minded a wildly mediocre meal. However, if I ampaying $100+ for dinner then I expect quality. We won't be back. Save your money and go to a place where the food qualitymatches the sticker price. Read more

Went while visiting friends this place has a real quaint charm about it, started with all the good stuff on the table cheese... spread was great put mine on my roll which elevated its flavor, got the bacon cheddar asparagus soup which I could have sat andhad all night, if I hadn?t ordered the hands down best walleye I have ever eaten, our waitress Alexis was kind and courteous andquick to refill our drinks, excellent staff they really made you feel like they wanted you there. Thank you for a greatexperience, I really want to try the hotel now too. Read more

I travel in my work and I schedule my work in order to eat here and stay at the hotel that is attached to the restaurant. Great... steak and seafood and deep fried cheese curds. Great staff as well. Do yourself a favor and take a trip and eat and stay here. Read more

Had an amazing time and pretty good dinner last night. This is definitely a place to go for location rather than actual food... quality. The staff was AMAZING! Jill, Alexis and Carry (sorry if I misspelled any names) were all made sure we had the greatesttime. The onion soup was my absolute favorite part of the meal. Read more

Absolutely amazing steaks and lobster. Drinks were well poured. Fast and friendly service with a smile. Great teamwork amongst... the staff. Tony even came to the table and spoke with my husband. We've now found our special date night place. We've beensearching for one since moved here in late September of 21. Will definitely return. Read more

The food was amazing. I had the baked french onion soup and the smoked ribs and my husband had the salad and the 14oz. ribeye... steak. The soup on it's own is a meal and I would drive the 2.5 hour trip again just to eat that soup. The death by chocolatecake dessert is delicious. Our server, Kari, was friendly, had a good sense of humor, and made the meal worth every penny. Read more
