I ordered their Margherita pizza. The sauce was rich and sweet, and the crust was delicious. While it did not hold together... well, I blame myself for cutting in too early. This is a very pricy place. I would recommend going along with guests (I thinkpizza is better enjoyed with company). After all, I would want to share with them how great the quality is. The restaurant is asmall shack you order from and sit outside. It's nestled inbetween two other buildings, so it may be hard to find at first.There is some covered seating thanks to the restaurant next door, but do be aware of the weather in Matthews. I will admit whatgot me to try out this place were the replies made to reviews by management. I have a lot of respect for them taking the time torespond rather than leaving a generic "thank you" message. Pizza in Charlotte is very competitive, and The Exchange Pizza Depotmanages to stand out. One of my favorite pizza places in Charlotte. The quality is top notch. During the summer time I'll sit in the back of Seaboard... Brewing grab a beer and this place will bring me my pizza. I've never had a bad slice of pizza here. I will say the staff can benot smart at times but generally they are ok. I go to a pizza place for pizza not service. The pizza I get is either the ENTwhich is pimento cheese, pepperoni and banana peppers ???? (greatest unexpected pizza combo ever trust me I've had about 1,100pizzas) and the Jordan which is your typical sausage and pepperoni. Buffalo chicken isn't half bad either. Either way the crustis made the way I like it perfectly and the cheese and sauce is spot on. I will say I only eat there on non peak hours likeafter work or on the weekends when there's no events going on. Read more
