I had the humas appetizer followed by the lamb shank dinner with salad and rice - Half and half tea with lemon to drink. The... hospitality was perfect - attentive but not intrusive. The tea was fresh and just the right strength. Odd how there are so manyplaces that can't manage to get the tea right. It should be a requirement before you can open a restaurant in the deep South. The humas served with home made Peta bread was smooth and creamy with just the right thickness. It had a wonderful taste. On tothe lamb shank. They have the technique for cooking this down pat. It must be cooked low and slow for many hours. Moist, meltin your mouth, tender, and lean. Perfect mild seasonings take the flavor beyond great. This is not my first visit here. I love this restaurant. The menu and food are so excellent! Normally give 5 stars. This past Saturday music and dance were... offered, a very fun idea. A great turn out but that slowed down service -- understaffed?! Plan ahead -- not sure the owner waspresent. I will be back soon! Read more
We chose this restaurant for celebration knowing there will be belly dancing performance, however, restaurant was not ready for... our group. Our table was in a side, unclean, empty room. We couldn't see the performance. We had no food on our table for twohours. During this time the restaurant owner was entertaining, dancing, singing. In two and a half hours, we advised thestuff we are leaving, and were offered free appetizers and food immediately. We stayed. When our checks came, there was noany discount + 20% gratuity already included. We reminded about the offer, but the stuff gave us many lies not to honor thepromise. Manager stated: "I don't care if any of you ever come back." Ruined celebration, stress instead of relaxing onSaturday. Any respectful restaurant would have given 50% up to 100 % off the bill for this kind of experience. Advice: if youhave a big group, don't go to Pita Kebab Grill or better, save your health, don't go at all. Read more
The best Mediterranean restaurant in the Charlotte area without a doubt. This is my absolute favorite and I've eaten at many... other places before. The food is authentic, delicious, not expensive, and you get large portions. I've ate here over 10 timesand never had a bad experience. The appetizer platters are enough to share with a person and be full. Salmon & shrimp kabobs areseasoned perfectly, the rice is delicious as well as the lentil soup.
