Total hidden gem in Matthews. Picadeli?s is a little hard to find in a non-descript strip mall off 74 but definitely try it... out. It?s deli/bar food at its core and there are many great options to order. We?ve tried many items over the course of 4-5visits including the burgers, subs, sandwiches such as the Reuben and Philly Cheesesteak but our favorite is the Double Bratplate. One would have been enough but they give you two. They?re loaded with kraut and delicious with copious amounts ofmustard. Parking fills up quick in the strip mall during lunch rush so be prepared. Been there twice now. First time we did a group order for our office. Stellar quality on the food, and quantity had everyone... looking like stuffed turkeys on Thanksgiving! Just picked up a self lunch myself, I would share pics but its all in mybelly!! 1. Think Diners, Drive-ins and Dives atmosphere, family all the way. 2. Speed of services great, quality of food,outstanding. 3. The courtesy of the staff in my experience , spot on. Location is tucked away and easy to miss. Ever been traveling and think about finding "The Place". You know, where the locals go... Outside appears like somewhat of "it's... been there awhile". Then you ease inside and discover it's what you were hoping for. This is the real deal. Everyone would becomfortable here. And then the servers bring big smiles and know the menu. Great Food. But the baklava.... Save some room forit. Being from Western Carolina this place was a breath of fresh air. Met the owners and I feel like family. It was good restaurant, food was amazing. I loved their Homemade beer , i believe it?s homemade or I understand correctly. Only... think there is skinny girl who is absolutely racist (she takes one star off from five star review). Except that everything elseis good. Catching up on reviews. Noticed this spot as I sat in a long line at Wendy's. The reviews were so good, I tried it on Saturday,... 05-07-22. Definitely a mom & pop spot with plenty of nostalgia. I ordered the Philly steak and cheese to go; it came with fries.Pretty sure I added grilled onions. I was greeted as soon as I entered. The lady who took my order asked if I had any questions.She went in the back after I gave her my order. That's when I checked out the place & started taking pictures. The food wasready in no time. It was no cheese steak from Philly or Bmore but it hit the spot. If I stop by again, it'll probably be to trythe baklava. Read more

Service was great and food was good. But having politics as part of lunch not so fun. Also as you check out, the sign that says... if you want to help small businesses then pay in cash is a slap in the face. Never seen this at any small business andshouldn't. Instead, offer discount to those that pay in cash like other small businesses do. Read more

Picadeli?s is the absolute best! The owner and his staff are always on top of it and extremely personable. I?m allergic to black... olives but love their Greek salad! So they load my husband?s Greek salad with the olives from mine! But truly, the best Greeksalad in Matthews!! Absolutely amazing! Read more

Friendly service, reasonable prices, great selection and FANTASTIC food. I go here for my mozzarella sticks, fried mushrooms and... GREEK SALADS. Seriously, all of the food here is great. Hard to beat. Read more
