Reviews for Grace O'Malley's Irish Public House in Matthews, NC
Good night for sitting outside. Atmosphere was good. Buddy had bangers and may... loved it. Fish & chips.. rate a 3. Fish was... overcooked and fries were chewy... I would go back to try again Read more
I so wanted to like this place. Heart of downtown Matthews. Nice outdoor seating. And then they bring my draft beer in a plastic... cup! Fish & chips were mediocre. One piece of cod & the “chips” were the same lousy ones in the grocery frozen section. Theburger was good but over cooked. Read more
Our first time at Grace O'Malley's, and will not be our last! What a great menu and the food was delicious! The fish & chips... were one of the best we have had since we have moved to NC. The chicken with capers (although there could have been fewercapers) mashed potatoes & Brussel sprouts was so good. My husband enjoyed the bangers and mash. I had a raspberry Moscow mulethat was very good. The bar side of the restaurant was very noisy but we sat on the other side of the windowed wall and it wasbetter for a conversation. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. Read more

Great food and service! The fried brie and tomato bisque are amazing. It's a little loud (and lots of TVs), so not the right... place for a quiet conversation. Read more

Grace OMalleys very consistently delivers a fun, loud and cheerful atmosphere where you can enjoy a good dinner or just a good... pint of Smithwicks Quality staff, quality food & prep, quality furnishings, quality restaurant build & decor. I'm somewhereelse when I walk thru those heavy old welcoming doors, somewhere excellent. Let the Guinness flow and bring on the bangers, thefish n chips, the good times. Thanks for another good experience with friends over a well prepared dinner & the best pour of'Schmidiks' that I know. -Monty 'My favorite food from my homeland is Guinness.
